The Green House Homes at Mirasol represent an innovative approach to senior care, serving as Colorado’s first community to implement the renowned Green House model. Located on the picturesque Mirasol Senior Community campus, these homes were designed through the vision and dedication of the Loveland Housing Authority. Since opening in October 2014, the Green House Homes at Mirasol have offered skilled nursing care in a setting that truly feels like a real home, rather than a traditional institutional environment.
Thanks to the generous support of the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, this community was able to bring its unique model of care to fruition. The Green House Homes at Mirasol embody three central core values: Meaningful Life, Empowered Staff, and Real Home. These principles shape not only the physical design of the homes, which feature beautifully crafted living spaces that resemble private residences, but also the daily experience of both residents and care team members.
A walk through the Green House Homes at Mirasol reveals vibrant, inviting spaces filled with natural light and comfortable furnishings, which encourage interaction and foster a sense of belonging. Residents are invited to engage in genuine relationships and experience daily life surrounded by the warmth and companionship of their peers. The empowering atmosphere extends to staff members, who are given the support and autonomy needed to provide truly personalized care. This unique structure makes it possible for seniors to lead meaningful, connected, and fulfilling lives, all within a supportive real home environment at the Green House Homes at Mirasol.
