    Resident very satisfied with care

I'm a resident and overall very satisfied. Staff are friendly and compassionate-especially the fabulous 4th-floor team and the hands-on director-and medication and diabetic meals are well managed; food is mostly above average and the memory care is attentive. The newer, clean building has a large fenced patio, plentiful common areas (library, dining, therapy/exercise) and assisted walks, though there can be variability between floors/shifts and occasional long waits; management does address problems.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is positive, with reviewers consistently praising the facility's environment, staffing strengths, and programmatic offerings. The community is described as clean and newer, with generous common areas — a large lobby, library, games space, designated activity and therapy rooms, and a fenced, larger-than-average outdoor patio. Residents and families repeatedly note that the campus does not feel crowded and that shared rooms are comfortable. These physical attributes contribute to a welcoming, home-like atmosphere and easy access to both social and therapeutic activities.

Staff and care quality are frequently highlighted as strong points. Many reviewers call staff compassionate and competent, with particular acclaim for the fourth-floor team and for therapy staff and the coordinator who are described as friendly and helpful. Medication management is specifically mentioned as being handled properly, and staff assist residents with walks, exercises, and activities. The director is repeatedly described as involved, accessible, and responsive — someone who answers questions and addresses concerns, which gives families confidence. Memory care services also receive praise, with families expressing gratitude for the attention and care provided on that floor.

Dining and nutrition appear to be a net positive: meals are served in a dining room from the kitchen rather than from carts, and food is characterized as mostly above average. The facility accommodates dietary needs such as diabetic-friendly meals. That said, reviewers do note occasional lapses in meal quality, describing the rare bad meal when it occurs. Social programming and activities are evident and appreciated — reviewers mention birthday parties, games, exercise sessions, and other organized events that support engagement and quality of life.

Despite the generally favorable picture, there are consistent patterns of variability and a few operational concerns. Several reviews point to variability in care quality between floors and between different shifts, suggesting that resident experience can depend on timing and location within the building. Reviewers also report occasional long wait times for help, indicating inconsistent responsiveness during some shifts. While management is seen as proactive in addressing problems, the fact that some issues arise and require intervention is a recurring theme.

In summary, Alden Estates Of Northmoor is portrayed as a clean, newer community with strong physical amenities, a robust set of common spaces, good dining practices, and engaged programming. Staffing is a major strength — compassionate, competent teams and an involved director inspire confidence — but families should be aware of variability in service consistency across floors and shifts and occasional delays in response times. Overall impressions are favorable, with gratitude for quality memory care and therapy services balanced by a recommendation to monitor consistency in staffing and responsiveness to ensure uniformly high resident experience.

    About Alden Estates Of Northmoor

Alden Estates Of Northmoor sits in the network run by Alden Management Services, Inc. since 1996, offering 198 licensed and certified beds with about 170 residents staying every day, and the place keeps things going with an average of 3.24 nurse hours per resident per day. The facility's main focus is on post-acute care and short-term rehabilitation, providing a whole group of programs branded as OrthopedicPro™, CardioPro™, PulmonaryPro™, NeuroStrokePro™, and MedicallyComplexPro™, and there's in-house therapy for physical, occupational, and speech needs, plus outpatient therapy if someone only needs to come in for care now and then. People who want restaurant-style dining and what they call luxurious accommodations will find both, and a memory care program helps patients who have Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia.

This facility participates in Medicare, and offers skilled nursing care around the clock, including ventilator care and respite care, and says it can handle recovery from surgeries, heart conditions, strokes, brain injuries, and other medically complex cases. Alden Estates Of Northmoor also gives options for assisted living, independent senior living, and affordable senior housing, and there's support for both short-term stays and recovery care with plenty of different amenities and activities, along with a holistic approach to care that mixes traditional and some newer therapies.

Inspection reports reveal the facility has received a fair number of deficiencies through the years-48 total, including two related to infection and several tied to pharmacy services and nutrition and dietary standards-with a recent standard inspection dated November 1, 2024, listing some of these concerns. Alden Estates Of Northmoor is connected with the Alden Network and offers information through its own Contact Us page and the Discover Alden Blog, but for those who want to know about detailed clinical or quality ratings, they'd need to look up the Medicare page and other official inspection reports since that's where more specifics can be found.
