    Friendly staff and caring environment

I'm a resident at Rennes and overall pleased. The staff are friendly, compassionate and professional - skilled nursing and helpful OT/PT, open communication, large clean rooms, wide halls, activities, beauty shop and rides - I feel safe and cared for. Downsides: they're short-staffed, slow to respond at times and the food can be inconsistent, but I would still recommend Rennes for its excellent staff and environment.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is broadly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize that Rennes Health and Rehab Center - Weston is a safe, clean, and comfortable facility where residents feel cared for. Praise is frequent for the clinical side of the operation: reviewers cite skilled nursing care and a compassionate, professional staff. Rehabilitation services (occupational and physical therapy) are specifically noted as helpful, and several comments point to observable patient progress and contentment, suggesting effective clinical and therapeutic programs.

Staff and care quality receive consistently favorable remarks about friendliness and professionalism. Many reviewers report open communication with families and describe staff as compassionate and helpful. At the same time, there is a recurring qualification to this positive assessment: some reviews mention difficulty getting timely answers and slow responses to requests. Several comments describe the facility as short-staffed, which appears to be associated with delayed responsiveness despite staff being characterized as friendly and caring. This creates a pattern where personal interactions are warm and professional, but operational limitations (staffing and response time) occasionally undermine service consistency.

Facility attributes are another strong theme. The center is described as very clean, well-maintained, and in good repair. Physical space is frequently praised — large rooms, wide halls, and an overall pleasant atmosphere are noted. Practical amenities such as access to a beauty shop and transportation for appointments are mentioned positively, contributing to resident convenience and quality of life. Entertainment and activities are available, and reviewers point to a friendly atmosphere that supports social engagement.

Dining and activities generate mixed feedback. Some reviewers praise the meals and express satisfaction with dining, while others explicitly state the food was disliked or of poor quality. Activities and entertainment are generally available and appreciated by some, but the disagreement about food quality is a clear negative thread that contrasts with the otherwise favorable facility and activity reports.

Taken together, the reviews paint a mostly positive picture of Rennes Health and Rehab Center - Weston: a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility with skilled clinical staff and useful rehab services, where many families would recommend the center. The most notable concerns are operational — intermittent communication problems, perceived staffing shortages, and slow responses to resident needs — plus mixed satisfaction with the food. These issues do not appear to outweigh the strengths for most reviewers, but they represent the primary areas for improvement if the facility seeks to convert its generally positive reputation into uniformly excellent experiences.

About Rennes Health And Rehab Center - Weston

Rennes Health and Rehab Center - Weston sits on Barbican Avenue in Weston, Wisconsin, right by hospitals, drugstores, and local churches, which sure makes things easier when folks need to get out for appointments or worship, and the property itself has 84 beds in private, semi-private, or suite rooms, most with private bathrooms and all with things like walk-in showers for safety, flat screen TVs with cable, Wi-Fi, and telephones, so residents can stay comfortable and keep in touch with family, and there's air conditioning, kitchenettes, and other modern touches in the rooms which are meant to make life a bit easier day to day. This center offers 24-hour skilled nursing care with round-the-clock supervision and a full-week schedule, meaning there are staff available all the time to provide help with activities like bathing, dressing, transfers, medication management, and non-ambulatory care, so no one's left waiting if they need something in the middle of the night. They have a full range of rehab services-physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and the therapy team is right there on-site to provide both inpatient and outpatient care, including advanced programs like PWR! for Parkinson's, Vital-Stim Therapy, and one-on-one therapy sessions, all using modern equipment and specialized therapy gyms.

Folks who stay there can get help after surgery, injury, stroke, heart problems, and wounds, and there's post-acute care, IV therapy, and even dialysis administration available, and people can also get respite care or hospice care, too, if families just need a short-term break or extra end-of-life support. The memory care unit focuses on helping people living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, using a resident-centered, interdisciplinary team, and they've made sure daily routines give everyone a sense of familiarity and safety-even down to having staff who speak English and can help with a mix of needs. Rennes offers social services, mental wellness programs, and discharge planning to support residents and their families, and the team strives to create personalized care plans, which does help when everyone's needs are a bit different.

Around the grounds, you'll find dining rooms with restaurant-style meals made by chefs, so anyone with dietary needs can usually find something that fits, and there's even all-day dining to make meals more flexible, plus a whirlpool spa, hair salon and barber shop, fitness and wellness centers, and plenty of activity rooms for games, crafts, and movie nights. The facility has lounges, a small library, a computer center, and spaces for music or spiritual programs, with planned activities, outings, and community events nearly every day; residents can also step outside to walk the paths, tend a garden, or just sit out in the courtyards to enjoy the weather when it's nice. Transportation offered on-site helps with medical appointments or errands, and they've got parking for visitors.

Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are handled regularly, and safety is a big part of how rooms and shared spaces are set up-emergency alert systems, handicap features, and 24-hour call systems are all in place. Rennes accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and several types of health insurance, so families have options when figuring out payments, and the facility itself is Medicare and Medicaid certified, with the most recent Medicare rating being 5 out of 5 stars. Open since 2009, Rennes Health and Rehab Center - Weston stands next to Renaissance by Rennes Assisted Living, sharing resources and sometimes activities. They offer short-term rehab, long-term nursing care, assisted living, dementia care, and memory care, and they're part of the larger Rennes Organization, which runs several centers in Wisconsin. Residents and guests can join in religious services, enjoy community events, and often make the most of the place's open indoor and outdoor spaces, with the comforting feeling that help is always nearby if needed.
