    Compassionate care after abrupt eviction

I was abruptly evicted from one of their homes with no notice and left scrambling, but after a quick transfer to their sister property, Cloister Assisted Living, things improved dramatically. In four weeks the staff - especially Glecy, Joy and Leo - treated my loved one like family with 24/7 attentive, personalized care, home-cooked meals, activities, birthday/holiday celebrations and compassionate end-of-life support. The facility was clean, odor-free, organized, responsive and reasonably priced; the caregivers went above and beyond and gave our family real peace of mind. I highly recommend Cloister, though be warned about the sudden termination we experienced at the first location.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive about day-to-day caregiving, the social environment, and the facility’s homelike qualities, but there are serious and recurring negative reports related to discharges/transfers that require attention.

Care quality and staff: The majority of reviewers emphasize a high level of compassionate, hands-on care. Staff are repeatedly described as caring, loving, and attentive, and several individual caregivers are named (most often Glecy, Joy, and Leo). Reviewers note that staff treat residents like family, provide personalized care, and are available around the clock. There are multiple mentions of caregivers becoming close to residents and families, providing comfort to relatives, and delivering compassionate end-of-life support. This consistent mention of individualized attention and emotional support is one of the strongest positive themes.

Facilities, dining, and atmosphere: Reviews describe a warm, home-like environment. Common positives include home-cooked meals, fresh fruit, fresh flowers, and an odor-free facility. The setting is characterized as comfortable and pleasant, with staff focusing on small details that contribute to residents’ quality of life. Several comments note that the facility is inviting to vendors and visitors, further reinforcing the impression of a well-kept, hospitable home rather than an institutional setting.

Activities and social life: The community appears to offer regular social and recreational programming. Reviewers cite organized activities such as exercise, karaoke, and celebrations for holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. Mealtime is described as social—staff encourage residents to eat together—and celebrations are a recurring positive detail. These offerings are frequently tied to the perception that the facility keeps residents active and engaged, contributing to overall satisfaction.

Management, communication, and administration: Many reviewers praise responsive communication and an approachable owner who is involved in daily life and makes families feel included. Positive reports include prompt explanations, coordinated transfers in at least one case, and staff willingness to answer questions. Pricing is described as comparable to other facilities, and the location is noted as convenient.

Notable concerns and conflicting accounts: Despite the strong positive themes, several reviews contain serious allegations about abrupt terminations of care. Multiple summaries state that at least one resident was evicted without notice, allegedly refused ongoing care, and that the owners moved or attempted to move the resident to a sister property (Cloister Assisted Living), leaving the resident effectively homeless. These accounts contrast sharply with other reviews that describe seamless transfers and responsive management. The presence of both glowing praise and reports of abrupt, uncompassionate discharges suggests either inconsistency in policy enforcement, exceptional circumstances in particular cases, or breakdowns in communication during specific incidents. Given the gravity of these allegations—eviction without notice and residents left without housing—these reports are material and should be investigated or clarified by prospective families.

Synthesis and practical implications: In aggregate, the reviews portray Glecy Infinity Care Assisted Living LLC as a small, family-focused community with warm staff, strong personal engagement, good food, and active social programming. However, the repeated but not universal reports of abrupt discharge and transfer-related problems create a significant red flag. For prospective residents and families, the pattern suggests a facility that can deliver excellent everyday care and a nurturing environment but where administrative or policy practices around discharge/transfer may be inconsistent or have produced at least one serious failure.

Recommendations for families evaluating this facility: Ask for written policies on discharge, transfer, and eviction; request examples or references about how transfers to sister properties are handled; confirm who makes transfer/discharge decisions and what notice and support will be provided; and speak directly with current families about both care quality and administrative reliability. Also verify contract terms related to termination of services, and, if the allegations about being left homeless are a concern, ask for documentation about contingency plans and coordination with alternate placements. These steps will help reconcile the strong positive caregiving reports with the significant negative incidents noted in some reviews.

You'll find living spaces set up like senior apartments, condos for seniors, and even senior townhomes, with cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, private telephone, and walk-in tubs, plus there are options for memory care, independent living, skilled nursing, and regular assisted living, which means people can move in for short-term or long-term stays if they need help with daily things like bathing, dressing, transferring, medication management, and meals-including diabetes-friendly diets if needed-and the staff help with housekeeping, laundry, and keeping rooms tidy, and all residents get 24/7 supervision. Safety comes first, with things like Medical Guardian, Bay Alarm Medical, and ADT Medical Alert systems throughout, plus other home security features to keep everyone calm and secure, and they've earned awards like the Best of Senior Living 2025 and their reviews call the team friendly, attentive, and helpful, which lines up with the focus on being warm and supportive, and just having no strong smells in the home shows they work hard for cleanliness. Folks moving in go through detailed intakes and pre-move-in checks, so caregivers can understand exactly what care each resident needs, whether it's help with memory, physical limitations, or after an illness because the aim is to help each person keep as mobile and independent as possible while getting hands-on help when they need it. Residents can also join in outings with rides provided for medical appointments, and regular trips to cafes, parks, or places of worship nearby, and with locations not far from theaters, restaurants, pharmacies, hospitals, and an emergency room, families know help's close if something unexpected crops up. The community provides a mix of independence and staff support, and helps families connect with local experts or advisors to find the right living situation, offering verified reviews and guidance about various care options-from home care and care homes to assisted living, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, and nursing homes, plus regular checks with healthcare providers to make sure everyone gets the right care.
