    Kind staff, clean, medical failures

I appreciated the amazingly kind, compassionate staff, spotless facility and rooms, wonderful included meals, beautiful yard, and the family-owned (mother & daughter) feel. My small room (closet + TV) was later upgraded and needed an extra bed; landline cost extra and there's a nice wall of games but few planned activities. Serious concerns: in-house medical support didn't materialize, I was effectively abandoned at the ER, and they retained my January payment - overall I was impressed by the care and cleanliness but troubled by the medical and administrative failures.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Kapamilya Care Home LLC. is mixed but leans positive on day-to-day care, cleanliness, staff attitude, and dining, with a few serious management and medical-care concerns that stand out. Multiple reviewers praise the facility for being clean, having well-kept grounds, and offering pleasant living spaces with closet space and TVs. The home’s family-owned character (mother-and-daughter ownership) is mentioned positively and several reviewers highlight the staff as kind, compassionate, and attentive — many statements such as “amazing care,” “heartfelt/compassionate caretakers,” and “awesome staff” point to a consistently strong interpersonal experience for residents. Meals are repeatedly described as included and “wonderful,” and one reviewer rated the experience 10/10, indicating a strong overall satisfaction among a number of guests or family members.

Facilities and accommodations are generally regarded as clean and comfortable. There is specific praise for a beautiful yard and a dedicated wall of games and puzzles, indicating some attention to environment and resident diversion. Rooms are noted to come with closet space and TVs, and at least one resident was able to move from a small initial room to a larger one, suggesting some flexibility in room assignments. However, space limitations can be a downside: an initial room was described as small and required an extra bed, which suggests occasional crowding or limited room size for certain residents. There is also a small extra charge mentioned for a landline phone, which potential residents or families should confirm when considering costs.

Activities and engagement present a mixed picture. While the facility has physical resources such as games and puzzles, multiple reviewers note a lack of planned activities. That contrast suggests that while passive recreational materials are available, structured programming and scheduled engagement opportunities may be limited or inconsistently offered. Families who prioritize active, scheduled programming should probe further about the facility’s activity calendar and staffing for programs.

The most significant concerns in the reviews relate to management, medical care, and billing. One review alleges a very serious incident in which a resident was “kicked out by director” and left at an emergency room, with the medical team failing to evaluate the resident and the in-house medical support not being fulfilled. That same review also indicates the facility retained payment for January. These are serious claims involving potential safety, medical oversight, and financial disputes. They stand in sharp contrast to the numerous positive comments about staff compassion and care, which suggests either an isolated severe incident or inconsistencies in management practices and medical coordination. Because these issues touch on resident safety and regulatory compliance, they merit particular attention and verification with the facility and, if appropriate, state licensing agencies.

In summary, Kapamilya Care Home LLC. receives frequent praise for cleanliness, caring staff, pleasant grounds, included meals, and overall positive resident/family impressions. At the same time, reviewers report specific operational drawbacks: small initial rooms for some residents, extra charges for services like a landline, and a lack of structured activities. Most concerning are allegations about eviction, abandonment at an ER, failures of medical evaluation and in-house medical support, and a retained payment — issues that could indicate serious lapses in management or isolated but severe failures in care coordination. Prospective residents and families should weigh the generally high marks for day-to-day caregiving and environment against these grave concerns; recommended next steps include asking the facility for written policies on medical care and emergency transfer procedures, obtaining a clear breakdown of fees (including phone charges), clarifying activity schedules, checking room sizes/availability and bed accommodations, and reviewing state inspection records or complaint histories to confirm there are no unresolved regulatory issues.
