    Loving staff, clean home, cramped

I toured this small, clean facility and liked the people - the owner and staff are loving, attentive, and provide excellent 24-hour care and rehab. The home feels safe, has daily exercise, pleasant common areas (large TV, old music, Sunday communion), and can accommodate special meals. My biggest concerns were the cramped shared rooms (one 14x14 room available in a month) and poor food quality-though meals are improving. They try hard, but it's not the right option for my mom given her needs.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Juliets Care Home is positive about staff, personal attention and rehabilitation services, while raising consistent concerns about dining quality and limited physical space. Reviewers repeatedly praise the caregivers, describing them as loving, attentive and willing to listen; multiple summaries highlight personalized care and 24-hour caregiver coverage. The owner and rehab staff receive particular commendation for their skills and efforts. The facility is described as clean and safe, and several reviewers note a warm, home-like atmosphere with familiar touches such as old music, a large living-room TV and Sunday communion, which contribute to a sense of community.

Care quality and staff are the strongest themes. Many reviewers explicitly call out excellent care, attentive listening, and a personalized approach to residents' needs. Rehabilitation services are singled out as "great," with rehab staff and the owner receiving praise for clinical skill and dedication. The presence of 24-hour caregivers and an on-site staff that can accommodate special dietary requests reinforce the impression of attentive, hands-on care. The daily exercise program is another positive programmatic element, indicating some structured activity and focus on residents' physical well-being.

Facility-related feedback is mixed. On the positive side, the home is characterized as small, comfortable and clean, with private features like a 14x14 room mentioned and a communal living room that supports social interaction. Room availability within a month was noted by at least one reviewer, suggesting reasonable turnover or capacity. On the negative side, the small scale of the facility translates into shared or small rooms that some found cramped, and at least one reviewer explicitly questioned whether the home could handle their mother's care needs. The recurring note that the facility is "small" implies both the appeal of a home-like setting and the limitation of space and scope of services.

Dining and meal quality are clear pain points. Several reviewers say the food is "terrible" or not of good quality, with a tendency to rely on prepackaged items. Others mention the meals are "improving" and that the staff can accommodate special meals, indicating some responsiveness and ongoing changes, but the overall consensus is that cuisine is not a strong suit and not gourmet. This mixed but leaning-critical view of dining should be weighed by prospective residents who place a high priority on meal quality.

In summary, Juliets Care Home appears to be a small, clean, and safe facility with compassionate, hands-on staff and notable strengths in rehabilitation and personalized care. Its home-like environment and community touches are appealing to many families. The primary downsides are constrained physical space (shared or small rooms) and consistently criticized meal quality, along with occasional concerns about the facility's ability to meet higher-acuity medical needs. Prospective residents or families seeking strong rehab support and close personal attention in a small, home-like setting may find this facility a good fit; those who require private, spacious accommodations, gourmet meals, or intensive medical care should carefully consider these limitations or look elsewhere.

    About Juliets Care Home

Juliets Care Home, sitting right in Pleasanton, California, is a residential care home that's run by Juliet and her husband, who people say are both very loving and really attend to the residents' needs, and there's a focus on respect, kindness, and making everybody feel like they belong there and are part of a family, which you can feel right away when you walk in and see people going about their days. The staff takes the time to listen to residents, and offers care that fits everybody's own needs, which means if someone needs help with dressing or bathing or even transfers from bed to chair, someone's there to lend a hand, and they do it with kindness and patience, and of course nurses are on staff to keep an eye on things. The care programs have their own names, but those details change over time, and they have experience with assisted living, memory care, home health care that's Medicare-certified, long-term skilled nursing, as well as non-medical home care and adult day services, plus they have hospice care. There's also respite care, which gives primary caregivers a break if they need it, and folks can stay for a short while.

Juliets Care Home offers both private and semi-private rooms, including 1-bedroom options, all furnished for comfort and safety, and while the specifics of care and room style affect monthly costs, current pricing for assisted living isn't available. The home itself is designed for a cozy and homelike feeling, and while it sounds simple, things like wheelchair-accessible showers and easy-to-navigate hallways can really make a difference for seniors with mobility concerns. Residents get daily meals that are made special by chefs and meal planners, following dietary needs like diabetes diets, and people seem to think the food's pretty good since Juliets Care Home's won awards for Best Meals and Dining and even Best Activities over the years.

The facility features daily exercise activities and many other scheduled events, which helps people stay social and active. There are amenities like housekeeping, linen service, and high-speed internet, as well as transportation for medical appointments and errands, which is handy since the home is located near a hospital, mall, shops, and a senior center, so family can come by easily. There's a focus on individual comfort, with support for things like cleaning, cooking, medication management, plus memory care for folks who need it, and they work hard to keep the place feeling clean and the residents safe. Pets aren't allowed, which helps keep things simple for people who like a quieter home.

Juliets Care Home holds a 3.5-star "Very Good" rating, and it's recognized as an excellent option in Pleasanton, not by over-promising or making claims, but through consistent care and community that's welcoming, where, with help from caregivers and nurses, you can feel like you've found a home away from home. Tours are available so anyone can visit, meet the staff, and see what daily life is like before deciding if it's the right fit. The home operates under state license number 015601344.
