    Compassionate dementia care, clean facility

I placed my mom here and overall I'm very happy - the staff are compassionate, professional and great with dementia care, they send frequent text/photo updates and I truly feel peace of mind. The facility is impeccably clean and well-kept, with spacious apartments, a lovely courtyard, TV room, three good meals/day, weekly housekeeping, transportation and regular outings. It's pricey and I've seen occasional short-staffing and a med-count hiccup, and more varied activities would be nice, but the personalized, attentive care makes it worth recommending.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with consistent praise for the cleanliness, aesthetics, and the quality of care at Crossroads at Delta. Multiple reviewers described the property as impeccably clean, well-maintained and spotless, with attractive outdoor spaces such as a beautiful courtyard with large glass windows, aquarium and bird cage that contribute to a homelike and inviting environment. The facility is frequently described as newer or recently updated, offering mostly private rooms, some semi-private two-bedrooms, and cottage/apartment options including spacious two-bedroom units.

Staff and care quality are the most commonly praised aspects. Reviewers repeatedly use words like friendly, compassionate, professional, attentive and genuine when describing caregivers, nursing staff, and front-line employees. Several families specifically noted memory care strengths — personalization, comfort, and dementia-specific attention — and said that their loved ones flourished or adapted quickly. Frequent communication (texts and photos) to families, prompt responsiveness, and a generally helpful admissions team (director/sales manager) were highlighted as sources of family peace of mind. Many reports indicate that residents are thriving and that families are highly grateful for the staff’s efforts.

The dining experience receives strong endorsements: multiple reviewers described high-quality meals, outstanding holiday dinners, and an upscale dining feel. The facility reportedly serves three meals a day plus snacks, and some highlighted special touches during holidays. Housekeeping services such as weekly cleaning were also mentioned positively. Proximity to a hospital and availability of transportation (for example to local stores) were noted as convenient operational advantages.

Activity and social programming show a mixed but generally positive picture. Several reviews mention lively resident interactions, lots of activities, walks, programs and outings. Recreation services were called good, and there is an overall sense that social engagement is encouraged. However, a number of reviewers also indicated that activities could be more varied and that there were limits to programming in certain cases. A recurring theme is a trade-off between the privacy/layout of separate housing options and the level of independence or activity programming those units receive.

Notable concerns are fewer in number but important to consider. A subset of reviewers reported short-staffing and at least one account cited medication count issues and missing meds — a serious operational concern that families should verify during a tour or intake. Some reviewers reported negative aspects of the atmosphere, using terms like "high drama" or even "prison-like" for certain experiences; these appear to be isolated impressions but warrant attention. There were also comments about billing policies (a lunch deduction policy mentioned by a reviewer) and occasional maintenance needs (a garage door repair). Cost is a recurrent consideration: several reviewers called the community expensive or "worth every cent," indicating perceived value varies by family budget and expectation.

In summary, Crossroads at Delta is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful and well-kept grounds, new/upgraded living spaces, strong memory-care offerings, high-quality dining, and a caring, communicative staff that provides families with peace of mind. Areas to investigate further before committing include current staffing levels, medication administration and tracking procedures, specifics of activity schedules and variety, any billing/dining policies that affect charges, and pricing relative to your budget. Overall, the dominant pattern in the reviews is a very positive endorsement of the facility’s environment and staff, with a small number of operational concerns that prospective residents and families should clarify during a visit or through direct questions with management.
