    Elder abuse, neglect, deplorable conditions

I would never leave a loved one here. I witnessed neglect and elder abuse, deplorable conditions and cowardly staff/management who took advantage of residents; I even saw news reports about their license being suspended and calls to seize the property - they should be jailed.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The review summaries convey an overwhelmingly negative and urgent tone regarding Triangle Cross Ranch. Across every summary provided, reviewers allege serious failures in basic resident care and safety, describe the facility environment as deplorable and gross, and assert that both staff and management engaged in misconduct. The language used in the reviews is strong and consistent—terms such as "abuse," "neglect," "take advantage of residents," and calls that owners "should be jailed" indicate deep distrust and alarm among those reporting or commenting.

Care quality and safety: The dominant theme centers on alleged mistreatment and neglect of patients. Reviews explicitly allege elder abuse and neglect, and note safety concerns for residents. These are not presented as isolated incidents but as patterns: multiple summaries mention mistreatment and neglect, implying recurring or systemic problems in resident care. The severity of the allegations is amplified by references to regulatory responses (a reported license suspension) and to negative media exposure, both of which suggest external validation of the concerns and potential official scrutiny.

Staff behavior and culture: Reviewers portray staff conduct as deplorable, even cowardly, and accuse staff of taking advantage of residents. Such accusations imply both active mistreatment and passive neglect—staff failing to protect or properly care for vulnerable residents, and in some accounts possibly exploiting them. The tone suggests a culture problem, where staff behavior is not merely poor in isolated instances but is perceived as a pervasive issue that contributes directly to resident harm.

Facilities and environment: The facility itself is described in terms such as "gross" and "deplorable conditions." While the reviews do not provide detailed specifics about infrastructure or hygiene practices, the repeated use of these descriptors indicates that the physical environment is a major concern for reviewers and is viewed as contributing to an unsafe or unlivable setting for residents.

Management, legal, and media context: Management is a central target of criticism. Reviews call out management misconduct and go so far as to urge severe consequences for owners, including property seizure and criminal prosecution. One summary explicitly references a license suspension, and multiple summaries note negative media reports or that the facility has been "on the news." Together, these points suggest that concerns have moved beyond anecdote to broader public and regulatory attention. The repetition of calls for extreme measures (jailing owners, property seizure) signals a high degree of frustration and alarm among those posting reviews or summaries.

Dining, activities, and other services: The provided reviews contain no specific references to dining quality, programming/activities, medical staffing levels, or other routine services beyond generalized allegations of mistreatment and unsafe conditions. The absence of comments in these areas means there is no evidence in the supplied summaries that dining and activities were acceptable or problematic; the commentary is narrowly focused on abuse, neglect, facility conditions, and management/legal issues.

Notable patterns and implications: The pattern across reviews is one of systemic concern rather than isolated complaints—repeated allegations of abuse, neglect, unsafe/deplorable conditions, staff misconduct, and serious calls for regulatory or criminal remedy. Media coverage and a reported license suspension heighten the gravity of the allegations and suggest independent investigation or public exposure. For a prospective resident, family member, regulator, or investigator, these reviews collectively signal the need for caution and immediate verification through official inspection reports, licensing records, and credible news or legal sources. The concentrated nature of the complaints—focused on resident safety, staff and management conduct, and regulatory action—makes these the most salient and urgent issues arising from the review set.

    About Triangle Cross Ranch

Triangle Cross Ranch sits out in Galeton, Colorado, on a ranch where folks live in one-bedroom, semi-private units, and they get the kind of help and care that aims to keep them as independent as possible, with staff on hand at all hours, and daily routines include help with meals, bathing, medication, and all the things people do to keep up with life. The place has room for up to 24 residents and right now about nine live there, with ages anywhere from twenty-four up to seventy-one, sometimes folks come for long-term stays and sometimes for respite care, especially adults with cognitive disabilities like developmental delays, Down's Syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, or early onset dementia. The ranch has roots going back to 1981, when a local family donated the land after needing a place for their own loved one, and now the place brings people together under a whole-life, Christ-centered mission that focuses on acceptance, security, and self-esteem. Folks who live here do chores like loading dishwashers, feeding animals, setting tables, and can volunteer down at a veterinary clinic run by a staff member, because nobody just sits around unless they want to and there's always something going on, whether it's arts and crafts, Bible study, walking, gardening, horse care, Special Olympics, outings around the area, movie nights, or just reading in the small library or spending time outside in the garden. Triangle Cross Ranch offers hands-on programs with horses and livestock-equine-assisted activities, horseback riding, and even veterinary services right there on the ranch, so people are up and moving and learning, and not just watching life go by. The place is fully furnished, with options for private or shared rooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi, telephones, kitchenettes, private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and all the regular stuff like laundry, housekeeping, and meals tailored for special diets when needed, and the staff helps with move-in so settling in feels easier for everyone. Residents can go out for community activities within fifty miles, and regular transportation is set up for medical appointments or group outings. The ranch helps people with independence skills, supported by on-site staff, and ranch-style life includes routines with animals, gardening, work experiences, and always a steady hand nearby. The ranch aims to give adults with special needs a safe, accepting home where they live, learn, volunteer, and build community in a regular rhythm of daily life.
