    Friendly professional staff clean facility

I had a very positive experience: staff greeted me with smiles and were friendly, compassionate and professional - nurses, CNAs, therapists, cooks and cleaners all impressed me. The building is clean, well-kept and bright, activities and rehab were organized and effective, and administration handled hard moments with dignity. I highly recommend this facility. Minor caveats: the sign-in station is clunky and I noticed occasional strong odors and a few nursing lapses that should be addressed.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive, with frequent and consistent praise for the quality of staff and the individualized, compassionate care residents receive. Many reviewers single out nurses, CNAs, therapists, cooks, and cleaners as professional, caring, and attentive. Rehabilitation and physical therapy receive repeated commendation — multiple reviewers describe measurable recovery, progress in exercise, and successful outcomes after being given up on elsewhere. The facility is regularly described as clean, bright, recently renovated, and well maintained; visitors often note a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and rooms with good views.

Staff interactions and culture are a dominant positive theme. Reviewers report friendly greetings, smiling staff, helpful assistance with getting residents out of bed, and above-and-beyond responses from both clinical and administrative teams. The administrative staff is described as responsive and supportive in several summaries, and the facility has hosted clinical sessions and educational activities, indicating an environment that supports learning and professional development. Several comments highlight dignity and respect in difficult situations — for example, the considerate handling of a roommate's passing and peaceful end-of-life care for residents.

Activities, social engagement, and morale are also strengths noted by reviewers. The facility organizes festivities and activities, encourages exercise, and fosters an upbeat environment that contributes to resident progress and happiness. Multiple reviewers describe residents as happy and upbeat, and staff as creating a positive tone for visits. The combination of clinical competence and a lively, caring atmosphere leads many reviewers to highly recommend the facility or describe it as a "hidden gem." Several reviewers also explicitly praised ancillary services such as dining staff and housekeeping, contributing to the overall positive impression.

Despite the strong positive consensus, there are isolated but important negative reports that warrant attention. Some reviewers allege neglect and report strong odors in the building. Specific personnel concerns appear in at least one detailed complaint: an LPN reportedly spent hours on her phone and refused to assist CNAs with care tasks. One reviewer expressed an overall negative perspective on nursing and administration, stating they would not work at or send a loved one to the facility. These criticisms appear to be in the minority but are serious in nature and suggest potential lapses in supervision, staff accountability, or consistency of care.

Operational and visitor-experience issues are minor but present. One reviewer found the visitor sign-in station not user-friendly. Other operational praise, however, is common (cleanliness, renovations, and helpful front-line staff). The pattern suggests that while day-to-day resident care and the facility environment are generally excellent, there may be occasional staffing or management gaps that lead to intermittent negative experiences.

In summary, the review pool portrays Eagle Ridge Post Acute as a facility with a strong, compassionate, and skilled staff, effective rehabilitative services, and a clean, welcoming environment that supports resident independence and wellbeing. Most reviewers emphasize high-quality, individualized care and recommend the facility. At the same time, a few notable complaints — including allegations of neglect, reports of staff inattentiveness in at least one instance, and a few operational annoyances — indicate areas for improvement in staff oversight, consistency, and visitor processes. Addressing those specific concerns would likely further strengthen the uniformly praised aspects of care, cleanliness, and resident experience.

    About Eagle Ridge Post Acute

Eagle Ridge Post Acute in Grand Junction, Colorado, provides skilled nursing and intermediate care for very frail seniors who depend on nursing help day and night, and you find that they've also got short-term rehab services if someone needs extra care after a hospital stay before heading home, which comes in handy for folks bouncing back from surgery or illness, and there's a memory care center, too, set up for people with dementia so they're safe and comfortable. They have private rooms meant to make things home-like and folks are encouraged to bring personal comforts to help them settle in, with the staff trained to keep comfort and privacy at the core of daily life and a dedicated care team guiding everything, making sure each person's needs are watched over closely. Nurses are available onsite, with medical director oversight, and you've got access to medical services like lab testing, X-rays, and help with dialysis offsite, plus specialty care for wound and pain treatment, enteral feeding, catheter and colostomy care, and even ileostomy care when required. Nutrition is managed thoughtfully by registered dietitians who check in, plan, and tailor meals to each resident, including times where someone might need oral supplements or even a therapeutic diet for specific health conditions, and there's education on managing medications and diabetes for folks who need it. Pain management comes with different techniques and advice-so people dealing with ongoing discomfort have ways to cope that go beyond just pills, and on top of that, therapy services focus on helping people stay mobile or regain function, including things like training for walking, range of motion, day-to-day activities, positioning, skin care, and support for bowel and bladder issues, since maintaining independence matters a lot. The place supports nurse training and continuing education-with CNA programs happening right there-so fresh eyes and trained hands are always nearby, not to mention there's a psychologist and audiology services available when someone might need them. If someone can't get around or wants to attend a medical appointment or outing, there are transportation services to help. Eagle Ridge Post Acute leans on activities, fitness, gardening, events, and even field trips to keep things lively, and encourages family and residents to join councils or volunteer, adding some spirit to the community. Their care team and social services work together to keep things running smoothly, while amenities and activity programs give structure and a sense of home, whether someone just needs rehabilitation for a while or will stay longer thanks to the nursing home facilities managed by Vivage Senior Living. They do their best to create a pleasant place, focusing on maximizing each person's quality of life and making the days easier to manage, and there's even a website with a contact form and a gallery for folks wanting to know more or see how things look.
