    Beautiful campus and warm community

I love living here - beautiful, well-kept campus and apartments, clean grounds, and a warm, family-like community with wonderful neighbors. Staff are generally friendly and helpful (our housing coordinator is terrific) and there are lots of activities, outings, exercise classes and Event Center events (weather/COVID permitting). My only caveats: staff can be overworked and communication sometimes poor, and I'd like more off-site activities, but overall it's high quality and good value - I plan to stay.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive about the physical campus, community atmosphere, and the range of on-site amenities and activities at Mirasol Senior Community. Multiple reviewers emphasize the attractive, well-maintained grounds and buildings, clean and spacious apartments, and an overall high-quality, pleasant atmosphere. The property’s landscaping, exterior beauty, and the sense that the campus is well kept are recurring themes. On-site amenities called out include an Event Center (noted as open weekdays), a library, a beauty shop, and multi-phase housing options including assisted living and nursing care.

Community life and activities receive consistent praise. Reviewers report many organized events and entertainment opportunities, exercise offerings such as yoga and balance classes, a hiking group, chalk-art and birthday party activities, and ride/outing options. Residents describe a family-like environment where neighbors care for one another; several reviewers said their relatives enjoy living there and that residents speak highly of their experience. The presence of a dedicated housing coordinator and multiple comments that staff are informative, friendly, and instrumental in residents’ satisfaction contribute to the positive picture.

Care quality and staff performance present a mixed but important pattern. Many reviews explicitly praise the staff as wonderful, helpful, and service-oriented; other reviewers, however, report problems including understaffing, staff who seem overworked, uncommunicative or rude interactions, and poor communication in some instances. A few reviewers used strong language—"horrible experience" or "horrendous communication"—indicating that negative experiences, while not the majority, are significant for those affected. The pattern suggests generally good caregiving and support when staffing and communication are functioning well, but variability in day-to-day staff behavior and availability can materially affect a resident’s experience.

Facilities and maintenance are repeatedly described in very positive terms: clean rooms, well-maintained grounds, attractive exteriors, and spacious apartments. These elements combine with the social programming to create an environment that many reviewers call welcoming and a good value for the price. On-site conveniences such as the Event Center and beauty shop add to residents’ quality of life.

Gaps and areas for improvement are also clear from the reviews. The most frequently noted concern is staffing—several reviewers observed staff shortages and overwork, which can lead to slower service and poorer communication. There is also expressed desire for more activities away from the facility; while the community offers outings and ride options, some reviewers feel off-site programming could be expanded. Pandemic- and weather-related limitations are mentioned as factors that sometimes reduce activity levels.

In summary, Mirasol Senior Community is largely viewed as a well-maintained, attractive campus with a strong sense of community, robust on-site programming, and many amenities that residents enjoy. Positive accounts of friendly neighbors, helpful staff, and good value are common. However, prospective residents and families should be aware of variability in staff responsiveness and communication, and occasional staffing shortages that have produced negative experiences for some. If management continues to address staffing levels and communication consistency and expands off-site activity options, the aspects praised across reviews would be reinforced and the remaining concerns reduced.
