    Summary review

Overall impression Reviews for The Oasis Assisted Living are overwhelmingly positive, with frequent praise for the compassion, personalization, and professionalism of the caregiving team. Multiple reviewers describe the staff as kind, loving, and attentive, and many note dramatic and rapid improvements in resident comfort and condition after admission. The facility is repeatedly characterized as home-like rather than institutional, and reviewers consistently recommend The Oasis as an excellent option for families seeking assisted living and end-of-life care.

Care quality and medical responsiveness A dominant theme is the high quality of direct care. Reviewers emphasize tender, individualized attention, effective caregiving that has produced measurable improvements, and strong end-of-life expertise. Several comments specifically call out fast-acting medical care and responsiveness to changing needs, with owners who are RNs and knowledgeable caregivers contributing to confidence in clinical decisions. The facility receives frequent commendation for compassionate and respectful treatment of residents and for delivering 24/7 oversight and support.

Staff, management, and family communication Staff are repeatedly described as warm, respectful, and family-oriented. Many reviews highlight ongoing, professional communication with guardians and families, and note that staff keep families well-informed. Ownership and management are viewed positively: reviewers point to experienced RN owners who are engaged, knowledgeable, and take pride in the home. That said, a minority of reviews raise concerns about staff turnover and point out that CNA work is difficult and sometimes undercompensated. A few reviewers also reported impersonal or uncomfortable interactions during an intake interview or at the front desk, suggesting variability in initial admissions experience even though day-to-day caregiving is praised.

Facilities, cleanliness, and atmosphere The physical environment is a consistently positive factor. Reviewers emphasize that the home is spotlessly clean, odor-free, quiet, and comfortable. The small size of the setting is viewed as an asset by many families because it enables individualized attention and a family-like feel rather than a hospital-like environment. Several reviewers described the facility as well-run and safe, with staff taking pride in the space and maintaining high standards.

Dining, activities, and quality-of-life factors Food and social programming receive favorable mentions. Meals made from scratch and balanced menus are appreciated, and multiple reviewers report that residents enjoy the food. The community also hosts seasonal activities and celebrations (for example, holiday parties) that contribute to a positive, engaging atmosphere for residents and families.

Price, value, and placement advice Most reviewers feel the pricing is reasonable or a fair value given the quality of care and personalized attention. However, some concern was raised about value in specific situations, notably complaints about shared rooms being charged at the same rate as private accommodations. Additionally, a few reviewers advise prospective families to educate themselves carefully about the exact level of care offered — specifically to clarify assisted living versus skilled nursing capabilities — so expectations align with the facility's services.

Patterns and notable tensions The strongest, most repeated positives are compassionate staff, excellent end-of-life care, cleanliness, and a home-like small setting run by experienced RN owners. The most notable tensions are operational: occasional staff turnover and workforce strain (CNA pay/hardship), some variability in the admissions/interview experience, and isolated concerns about room pricing or service-type clarity. These negatives do not dominate reviews but are important considerations for families evaluating fit.

Bottom line Taken collectively, the reviews paint The Oasis Assisted Living as a small, well-kept, family-oriented community delivering highly personalized and compassionate care, especially for residents near end of life. The management’s clinical experience and hands-on approach are repeatedly cited as strengths, and the facility’s cleanliness, food quality, and staff responsiveness earn strong praise. Prospective families should still visit, ask detailed questions about room configurations and pricing, clarify the scope of clinical services (assisted living versus skilled nursing), and pay attention to the admissions interaction to ensure a good match. Overall, The Oasis receives strong recommendations from many families who valued the warm, attentive care their loved ones received.

    About The Oasis Assisted Living

The Oasis Assisted Living sits at 972 S Purcell Blvd in Pueblo, Colorado, and offers a home-like setting for adults who need extra help day or night, and while there's not much fuss with fancy features or themes, what stands out is staff who've worked with seniors for over eight years and have a kind and supportive way about them, so people living there get help that fits what they need, whether it's getting dressed, bathing, moving around, managing medicine, or more complex care like wound treatment or help with diabetes, and someone is always awake and ready to step in, no matter the hour. There are private and semi-private room choices, with monthly prices ranging from $7,000-$10,000 depending on the room, though assisted living starts from $3,000, and all rooms come with things like wheelchair-friendly showers, full tubs, Wi-Fi, sprinklers, and safety features, so comfort and safety go hand in hand. The place is clean and has both indoor and outdoor common areas, plus handy things like washers, dryers, and a kitchen area, so people can feel at home but still get as much or as little help as they need, and meals are cooked and planned with both taste and health in mind. Folks at The Oasis Assisted Living join activities right at home or around town, from art and crafts to exercise, social events, or devotional services, and there's a game room, a salon, and an activities room for small pleasures, while transportation's available for a fee if someone needs to go to appointments or run errands. The care also stretches to those needing skilled nursing, memory care for dementia or Alzheimer's, and even adult daycare, and staff work with residents and doctors to plan the right care, so everyone has a voice. No pets are allowed, but families can visit and tour any time, seeing firsthand how the staff work hard to make things run smoothly and safely. The Oasis Assisted Living helps with finances and understanding what's covered by Medicare or Medicaid, and they encourage talking with doctors and looking up their state license or inspection reports to help families make the best choices. Everyone gets treated as a person with something to offer, and the goal is always to keep folks comfortable and active, without making things feel complicated or rushed.
