    Compassionate, responsive care and staff

I'm very pleased with Skylake Post Acute - the staff are caring, attentive, and truly resident-first, with excellent nurses, therapists and engaging activities. The building feels revitalized under new leadership, is clean, safe and welcoming, and admissions were easy with quick responses to my questions. There was one rude kitchen incident that was handled promptly, but overall the team (special thanks to Nurse Soloman, CNA Mersades, Ashlee and Lauren) provides compassionate, personalized care. I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Skylake Post Acute are strongly positive, with a clear majority of comments praising the quality of care, staff attitude, and recent facility improvements. Reviewers repeatedly highlight a resident-first culture driven by visible leadership changes and a revitalized building atmosphere. Multiple reviewers state they would highly recommend Skylake, and several indicate positive referral intent or long-term residency satisfaction (one resident noted three years of residence).

Care quality and clinical services: Clinical care and therapy services are consistently praised. Reviewers mention excellent nursing staff, effective therapists, and personalized care plans tailored to residents' needs. Specific caregivers and clinicians are named with gratitude (for example, Nurse Solomon, CNA Mersades, and staff members such as Ashlee, Brandi, Gigi, Lauren), indicating strong individual relationships and continuity of care. The phrasing across reviews — compassionate, capable, attentive — points to high satisfaction with day-to-day caregiving and clinical responsiveness.

Staff and leadership: A dominant theme is appreciation for staff professionalism, attentiveness, and friendliness. Staff are described as kind, welcoming, hardworking, and responsive to questions or concerns. Leadership receives frequent commendation: reviewers report outstanding administration, committed management, and a shift toward a residents-first culture. Several comments note that new ownership and administrative changes have helped overturn a previously poor reputation, with leadership actively implementing improvements and taking complaints seriously.

Facility and environment: Reviewers describe the facility as clean, well-organized, and increasingly modernized — many note a refreshed or updated look following remodeling efforts. The atmosphere is repeatedly called joyful, friendly, and safe; residents are characterized as cheerful and engaged. Skylake is described as a community staple, suggesting strong ties to the local area and long-standing presence.

Multiple reviewers emphasize a welcoming environment with opportunities for social interaction, which supports residents’ overall well-being and contributes to the facility’s positive vibe.

Dining and customer service: Dining receives generally positive feedback, with comments ranging from good to great food. However, there are mixed or modest descriptors in a few reviews (for example, 'decent food'), indicating some variability in dining experiences. Customer interactions are praised overall; staff are noted for quick responses and pleasant service.

Concerns and patterns to watch: Negative feedback is limited but notable. There is at least one specific reported incident where kitchen staff were rude and refused to assist a resident; reviewers emphasize that this issue was handled promptly and taken seriously by management. Reviewers also reference a prior negative reputation for management that appears to be improving under new ownership — an important context for prospective residents and families. Additionally, several reviews mention staff working long hours. While this is framed positively as dedication, it could also signal potential staffing pressure or burnout risk if persistent.

Conclusion: The aggregated reviews portray Skylake Post Acute as a compassionate, well-run facility with strong clinical care, attentive and friendly staff, an improving and refreshed physical environment, and a lively activity program that fosters community. Leadership and administration receive consistent praise for responsiveness and for reversing past problems. The primary concerns are limited to an isolated customer-service incident in the kitchen, some variation in dining impressions, and indications of long staff hours which merit monitoring. Overall, the pattern strongly supports Skylake as a highly recommended option for post-acute care and long-term residence by those who provided reviews.
