    Caring attentive professional staff recommended

My mom has lived here three years and I'm very pleased. The staff are caring, attentive, and professional-nurses, CNAs and leaders like Lauren, Ashlee and Chrystal stand out. Communication with family is prompt, the building is clean, safe and welcoming, and therapy and activities are strong. Smooth admissions and a resident-focused community; I highly recommend Skylake Post Acute.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Skylake Post Acute is consistently portrayed as a facility with strong, resident-focused clinical care and active family engagement. Reviewers routinely highlight compassionate, attentive nursing and CNA support, robust social work and case-management services, and individualized care plans. Therapy and rehabilitation services are described as effective and well integrated into residentsโ€™ programs, and many families cite clear communication and regular care updates that provide reassurance.

Care and staff Care quality appears to be a central strength: nursing, CNAs, therapists, and social work staff receive repeated praise for responsiveness, empathy, and personalized attention. Multiple named staff members and social workers are singled out for advocacy and hands-on coordination, which suggests both strong individual performance and organizational emphasis on case management. At the same time, reviewers describe a pattern of reliance on standout employees; this contributes to high satisfaction but also indicates potential vulnerability if those individuals are absent. Several comments also point to staff working long hours, suggesting workload pressures that may affect consistency.

Dining and activities Dining and activity programming are generally viewed positively. Meals are described as nutritious and well-liked by residents, and activity offerings appear engaging and frequent, contributing to a positive atmosphere. One operational concern that emerges is conduct and service consistency within ancillary/dining staff: while most families report good experiences, isolated incidents involving kitchen or dining interactions were raised. Families described these concerns as being taken seriously and addressed by management when they occurred.

Facilities and environment The facility is repeatedly described as clean, well-maintained, and recently revitalized; reviewers note renovations and an updated appearance in several areas (including specialty units). The environment is characterized as warm and welcoming, with residents appearing engaged and comfortable. Ongoing renovations and the recent management/ownership transition are visible to families โ€” generally framed as improvement efforts, but they do represent a period of change that may bring temporary disruptions.

Management and patterns Leadership and administration receive consistent positive comment for a residents-first culture and proactive problem resolution. Admissions and administrative staff are also noted for being helpful and knowledgeable, especially with Medicaid and financial guidance. At the same time, reviewers indicate that the facility has undergone management changes and a reputation turnaround, which has involved staff turnover and physical updates. While many families describe prompt corrective action when issues arise, the reviews collectively suggest two operational caveats: (1) variability in service quality across departments (notably ancillary/dining areas), and (2) potential staffing workload pressures and dependence on key personnel.

Bottom line Skylake Post Acute presents as a clinically capable, family-oriented facility with strong social-work support, good therapy and activity programs, and a clean, updated environment. Families frequently report peace of mind and satisfaction with care. Prospective residents and families should note the ongoing management transitions and renovations, and may want to ask specific questions about dining service consistency, staffing patterns, and contingency plans to ensure continuity if key staff change or workloads fluctuate.

    About Skylake Post Acute

Skylake Post Acute sits under Genesis Healthcare management and fills many needs for people recovering from surgeries, illness, or injury, with skilled nursing care around the clock, and they've got well-appointed semi-private rooms that focus on comfort and healing. You'll find short-term rehabilitation services here, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as specialized memory care for those who need it. The staff uses health programs funded by state and federal sources like the Affordable Care Act and HRSA-supported health centers, making many services more accessible. They've also got services to help with home health, and behavioral health recovery programs with a learning center full of resources, plus links to a health library for extra information. Skylake Post Acute provides emergency services, interactive tools like a symptom checker, a variety of assistive devices to support patients, and connects everyone with community resources. Social services are available, activity calendars and special events keep people engaged, and the staff aims to make the environment feel like home, not an institution. Nursing services are ongoing 24/7, and you'll see the facility involved in legislative activities at both state and federal levels, which is not something you run into every day at these places. The facility includes Meta's suite of services and connects to different social media and digital platforms. Skylake Post Acute is really a post-acute care and nursing home facility that gathers a lot under one roof, making sure there's help for both health and daily living needs.
