    Caring staff, clean facility, delays

I've found the staff consistently caring, compassionate and helpful - CNAs work well together and the home feels family-like; Kelsie and others have been wonderful. The facility is clean, welcoming, and the meals are good. It's an older building with occasional staffing shortages, poor interdepartmental coordination and management lapses (I once waited two hours for a bandage change), so nursing responsiveness can be uneven; overall I'd recommend it for the warm staff and tidy atmosphere but be aware of possible care delays.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across these reviews is more positive than negative, with a clear emphasis on strong, compassionate staff and a family-like culture. Many reviewers highlight excellent bedside care, helpful and friendly employees, and effective teamwork among certified nursing assistants (CNAs). Housekeeping and front-line staff receive frequent praise for keeping the environment tidy and welcoming. Several reviewers explicitly commend leadership and administration, and a named staff member (Kelsie) is singled out with gratitude, which suggests that individual caregivers are making strong, memorable impressions.

Facility characteristics are described in two different ways. Multiple reviewers call the building "homey" and note it is not brand-new or "shiny," which some see as a positive (comfortable, homelike) and others as a drawback (older appearance). At the same time, a subset of reviews references recent management changes and upgrades to the facility, indicating improvement efforts underway. Cleanliness is a recurring theme: many reviewers describe the facility as very clean and welcoming, while a smaller number say cleanliness is average or "not as clean as a hotel." This creates a mixed but generally favorable picture of housekeeping performance overall.

Dining is another area with generally positive feedback. Several reviewers describe the meals as delicious and note improved food under newer management. Food is mentioned repeatedly as a strength, with multiple people saying they like the meals. Reviewers also frequently use terms such as welcoming and family-like to describe the atmosphere, reinforcing the impression of a supportive social environment for residents and families.

Despite these positives, there are consistent and important concerns that temper the overall praise. A minority of reviews describe poor care experiences, including allegations of incompetent nursing staff, ineffective management, and poor interdepartmental coordination. One specific, serious complaint cites a two-hour wait for a bandage change, which highlights potential lapses in timely clinical care. Staff shortages and staff conflicts are raised as additional operational challenges; these issues may contribute to variability in care and service across shifts or departments.

Taken together, the reviews suggest a facility with many strengths—especially in staff compassion, teamwork, and food—coupled with some operational and quality inconsistencies. Positive reviews emphasizing cleanliness, strong leadership, and bedside care are numerous, but negative reports about management effectiveness, nursing competence, and service delays are significant and recurring enough to warrant attention. The patterns point to an institution that is improving in places (upgrades and new management are mentioned) but still has variability in resident experience, likely tied to staffing and coordination issues.

For someone evaluating Stonebridge Nursing & Rehab, the most reliable takeaways are that interactions with direct-care staff are frequently reported as very good to excellent, meals and housekeeping are often praised, and that there have been recent management/upgrade efforts. At the same time, prospective residents or families should be aware of mixed reports on clinical responsiveness and management, and consider asking about current staffing levels, recent quality improvements, and any follow-up on reported coordination or care-timeliness issues when making decisions or arranging tours.
