    Beautiful community with attentive staff

I toured the community and ultimately moved my mother in - a beautiful, well-maintained building with old-world charm, renovated apartments and lovely landscaping. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, attentive and proactive; they learn residents' names and go above and beyond. Meals, activities and on-site amenities (salon, fitness, transportation, special events) are excellent and create a warm, social atmosphere. I feel my loved one is well cared for and would highly recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Renaissance on Peachtree presents as a high-end, well-appointed senior community with many features typical of an upscale Buckhead property: recently renovated public spaces and apartments, a grand lobby with old-world charm, multiple dining venues, an active calendar of social and educational activities, and numerous on-site amenities such as a salon, gym, library and theater. Location and aesthetic appeal are recurring strengths; the building is frequently described as attractive, well-maintained and hotel-like, and many residents and families praise the community’s social atmosphere and strong activities program.

Staffing and day-to-day caregiving are a core positive for much of the community: reviewers consistently note compassionate, professional and attentive staff (including an on-site RN), helpful front-desk and concierge teams, and effective admissions and move-in support. Several families highlighted specific staff members and admissions staff who go above and beyond. Care coordination for medical appointments and access to on-site therapy/rehab are also strengths for residents who require intermittent clinical support.

However, there is a clear pattern of operational concerns that prospective residents should evaluate. Assisted-living clinical staffing levels and responsiveness are described as inconsistent at times, with reports of slow response to calls for assistance. Dining is a mixed picture: the property offers varied dining venues and special-event meals that are often praised, but meal quality, temperature and service consistency have been described as uneven, and special-diet accommodations may be limited. Housekeeping frequency and some cleanliness/maintenance issues appear variable and have been affected during and after renovation activity.

Management and organizational issues recur throughout the feedback. The community has experienced ownership and leadership changes; families describe budget tightening that has affected repairs, activity offerings and the delivery of some promised services. Communication and transparency around contracts, billing, and service commitments have been identified as problem areas—prospective residents are advised to obtain offered services in writing and to review contract terms carefully. There are also a number of serious individual allegations involving staff conduct, payroll/timekeeping irregularities and medication or inventory handling; these are distinct from routine operational complaints and warrant direct inquiry with management and, where appropriate, review of any regulatory or legal follow-up.

Renovation activity has modernized much of the property but has introduced disruption and noise-control challenges for some residents. Practical factors such as limited visitor parking and relatively high pricing (with periodic annual increases) also affect value perception. Finally, reviewers indicate that the community excels for socially active, independent residents but may be less reliable for those requiring more consistent, higher-acuity assisted living care; families whose needs are trending toward more intensive clinical support should verify staffing ratios, response times and licensing/placement policies before committing.

Actionable recommendations: visit during a weekday and an activity period, speak directly with current residents and family members about response times and daily care, confirm in writing which services and frequencies are included, review the assisted-living care plan options and emergency-response procedures, and ask management for documentation regarding staffing ratios, incident follow-up and any investigations related to serious allegations. These steps will help align expectations with the facility’s strengths (amenities, community, and many highly praised staff) and its operational limitations (staffing consistency, management transparency, and service execution).

    About Renaissance on Peachtree

Renaissance on Peachtree allows pets and sits in a lively, walkable part of town, surrounded by places where people can get out and enjoy themselves, and right there in the middle of it, you'll find this high-rise building where seniors can pick from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments, some with sliding doors to balconies and big windows with lots of light and nice views, and you don't deal with a big buy-in fee like at some luxury places. They offer both independent living and assisted living, as well as memory care, nursing home care, respite stays, and continuing care, so that means help is available as your needs change, and there's help with bathing, dressing, taking medicines, and even therapies like physical, speech, and occupational if you need it, with nurses and aides there around the clock. You'll see folks reading in the library or relaxing in indoor sitting areas, using the computer lab, catching a movie in the theater, or playing games in the resident lounge or media room, and outside, you've got walking trails, patios, and terraces where people and their pets can get some fresh air, plus there's even pet care services if you need an extra hand some days. The building is set up to help folks with different abilities, so you've got ADA bathrooms, walk-in and wheelchair accessible showers, climate controls in the apartments, and all utilities like internet, cable, and Wi-Fi included, so you don't have to fuss with bills. Lots of people come for the restaurant-style meals with flexible hours, chef-prepared food, and snacks at the café and bistro, plus there's a pub and even a private dining room if you want to eat with family or friends. There's a gym packed with equipment like stationary bikes and NuStep machines, group fitness classes, activity rooms, and a wellness program, along with a spa and salon for haircuts, shaves, massages, and beauty treatments, and a beautician right onsite. The staff runs daily social events, art classes, music, and pet therapy, and they really work to keep everyone connected and included, with help from the 24-hour concierge who can handle things like deliveries or making transit arrangements. Residents can sign up for transportation services in the high-rise or take the shuttle if they want to get out for appointments or outings. Safety is kept in mind with wireless emergency pendants, regular health monitoring, medication management, and a secure memory care area for those who tend to wander or need extra structure. There's full-time staff for support, nurses and doctors on call, dentist visits, home care, laundry, and housekeeping, plus learning programs and devotional services on and off site. Community data is managed by Sharon S., Director of Community Data, keeping things organized. Renaissance on Peachtree received the 2025 Best of Senior Living Award from Seniorly, and overall, it brings people together in a comfortable, pet-friendly place with lots to do, modern comforts, and support when you need it, so you don't have to give up independence or comforts as you get older.
