    Excellent caring staff clean facilities

My dad has been here three years and the care has been excellent - knowledgeable, long-tenured nursing staff who are warm, attentive and truly accommodating. The building is new, well-designed and very clean with larger studio rooms, lots of public spaces (salon, courtyard, memory-care kitchenettes) and many amenities for the price - all-inclusive and great, locally tailored meals. We felt safe without losing independence and I'm very pleased with the value and how staff helped our family.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Stoney Point Meadows presents as a newer, well‑appointed senior living community with many features that families and prospective residents value. Reviewers consistently describe a facility that is modern and spacious, with carpet‑free studios, hotel‑style air handling, multiple public areas, and specific memory‑care amenities such as kitchenettes, a salon, and a courtyard. The location is suburban–rural, which may appeal to those seeking a quieter setting outside the immediate town center.

Care and staff: The strongest recurring theme is the quality of the staff. Several reviewers described staff as friendly, accommodating and compassionate, with long‑tenured nursing personnel who appear knowledgeable and attentive. Families highlighted a family‑like atmosphere and examples of staff facilitating family connections and supporting move‑in timing. Overall, comments indicate consistent, person‑centered caregiving and good clinical presence in both general and memory‑care areas.

Dining and activities: Dining is generally viewed positively: meals are described as appetizing and tailored to local preferences, and the community offers an all‑inclusive pricing model that some evaluators considered good value. Activity programming receives mixed feedback. Some reviewers reported an active, social atmosphere with many activities and socializing among residents; others noted limited programming, particularly during infection‑control periods such as the pandemic. Prospective residents should confirm current activity schedules and any restrictions in place at the time of visit.

Facilities and amenities: The facility’s physical plant is frequently praised as new, well cared for, and offering larger rooms for the price. Memory‑care specific spaces and multiple common areas were noted as positives. A small number of comments expressed that some parts of the environment feel more clinical or institutional rather than homelike; this may reflect design choices or programmatic emphasis on safety and infection control.

Management and operational patterns: While many reviewers praised staff interactions, a few raised concerns about the facility’s responsiveness to environmental and maintenance issues, including pest‑control and follow‑up after concerns were raised. These comments point to variable management responsiveness in certain operational areas. Prospective residents and families should ask about recent maintenance records, pest‑control protocols, and current management practices during a tour.

Bottom line: Stoney Point Meadows appears to offer strong caregiving, a compassionate culture, attractive newer facilities, and a range of amenities that make it a competitive option for people seeking assisted living or memory care in a suburban setting. Interested parties should verify current activity programming, inquire about how the community handles infection‑control restrictions, and review recent maintenance/pest‑control documentation and family‑communication practices during an in‑person visit.

    About Stoney Point Meadows

Stoney Point Meadows is a senior living community run by Cassia, a nonprofit group that works with Augustana Elim, and sits in a well-kept spot where older adults find many types of care under one roof. Folks live in private, roomy apartments with full kitchens and safety features like zero-entry showers and safety bars, so daily life feels safe and easy, and there are common spaces like the atrium, art studio, Prairie Moon Theater, Seasons Pub & Bistro, and the Stoney Point Event Center for gathering and staying busy. The community gives choices between independent living at the Villas of Stoney Point and Independent Plus, assisted living for those who need a hand with daily chores like bathing, dressing, medication set-up, or managing oxygen, and memory care in a calm, single-level neighborhood that's barrier-free and has home-like furnishings to ease confusion and wandering, especially for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia. The health care staff takes daily vital signs, manages medications, provides diabetes care, helps folks who are non-ambulatory or have incontinence, and supports stays that might be short with respite care, which comes with a furnished apartment, all meals, health services, activities, and therapy. Each resident gets weekly housekeeping, laundry, all maintenance, utilities including Wi-Fi and cable, meals planned by chefs for good nutrition, and scheduled bus rides to church, shopping, and appointments. The grounds have walking paths, secure outdoor places, a fitness center, a salon/barber, gathering rooms, and organized social events both onsite and offsite, with staff on hand all day and night. Visitors and families are welcome in a setting meant for healing and comfort, and the group also helps older adults who live at home with non-medical home care services by trained aides. Everything at Stoney Point Meadows focuses on wellness, safety, flexible care, and a steady daily life, and the community comes together with a spirit of compassion, thanks to Cassia and support from local investors.
