    Warm compassionate care, engaging activities

I'm so relieved my mom lives here - the staff are warm, kind, and treat residents like family. Eartha, the Community Relations Director, and the nursing/therapy teams provide compassionate, responsive care (excellent med management, memory/Parkinson's care and hospice support). The building is bright, clean, nicely decorated with great meals and the cinnamon-roll aroma, and pricing is straightforward with most services included and no buy-in. Activities are varied and engaging (Bible study, bingo, outings, exercise), residents are happy and social, and I highly recommend this caring, attentive community.

About The Views of Cedar Rapids | RidgeView Assisted Living

The Views of Cedar Rapids | RidgeView Assisted Living sits in a quiet, landscaped spot in Cedar Rapids and feels close-knit, like a big extended family where people know each other and look out for one another. The community is locally owned and serves people aged 55 and older, offering both assisted living and memory care options with comfortable apartment homes. Residents can get help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, dining, medication management, and have access to full-time staff around the clock for any support they need, including non-ambulatory care, diabetic care, incontinence care, and therapy services from an in-house coordinator. For people with mild cognitive issues or dementia, MeadowView Memory Care Village provides a secure, specialized area and offers tailored activities for memory support, using science-based techniques that help ease frustration and promote calm.

The facility keeps things homelike with simple details like baking fresh bread every day for the noon meal and serving three chef-prepared meals daily, either in the dining area or in residents' rooms if needed, with options for allergies or special diets. Living spaces are comfortable and come furnished, with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, cable TV, and Wi-Fi, while all basic utilities are included. There are several inviting common areas-places for card games like 500, bingo, exercise classes, music programs, movie nights in the theater, and quiet rooms for reading or devotional gatherings. Outdoor gardens, patios, walking paths, and spaces for gardening allow residents to enjoy fresh air, and it seems like there's always a spot where friends are meeting up to chat, relax, or play.

A full calendar of community activities means there's always something going on, whether it's resident-run programs, arts and crafts, outings to local spots like Starbucks and Burger King, or devotional services. Staff like the community relations director Eartha keep things running smoothly, and both families and residents are encouraged to get involved. Transportation services help people get to medical appointments and community events, with medical professionals located just a short walk away. The community also features a fitness room, spa/wellness room, salon, library, and activity rooms, along with housekeeping, laundry, and move-in help.

Residents wear personal alert pendants for safety, there's a 24-hour call system, and care is structured to protect each person's independence and dignity. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, especially during holidays when decorations go up and shared meals, games, and music make the place feel lively. People often say it feels like home, with familiar faces and supportive, warm staff who treat everyone with respect, kindness, and a sense of belonging. The community keeps rates straightforward, with starting prices at $4,810 per month for assisted living and $5,660 for memory care, which covers meals, activities, utilities, and care services. The Views of Cedar Rapids | RidgeView Assisted Living keeps its focus on enhancing quality of life, supporting both physical and emotional well-being, and making sure residents stay active, engaged, and comfortable every day.
