    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with repeated emphasis on cleanliness, compassionate caregiving, and a well-maintained environment. Multiple reviewers describe the facility as "exceptionally immaculate," noting there is no typical nursing-home odor and that rooms are cleaned daily. The dining room is specifically called out as being in "perfect condition," and meals are described as enjoyable. Physical spaces receive consistently positive remarks: natural light, pleasant outdoor areas, nice sitting areas, secure coded entry, well-kept grounds, and a good location contribute to an inviting atmosphere.

Care quality and staff performance are central themes. Reviewers repeatedly praise nursing staff and CNAs as attentive, loving, and compassionate, with around-the-clock nursing care and timely service. Comments emphasize that staff know residents personally and treat them with dignity and respect rather than in a generic, "daycare" manner. Several summaries note that staff operate on a personal level, creating a family-like environment. When minor lapses are observed (see concerns), reviewers also note that other staff step in to help, indicating a generally responsive workforce.

Facility services and programming are also highlighted. The rehabilitation area and exercise room receive positive mentions, and reviewers appreciate games and stimulation programs for residents. Daily activities and community events (for example, Mardi Gras parties) are called out as contributing to residents looking happy and engaged. The combination of therapeutic amenities, social programming, and clean communal spaces gives the impression of an environment that supports both physical recovery and quality of life.

While overwhelmingly favorable, a couple of consistent concerns appear in the summaries. Reviewers mention occasional inattentiveness at the nursing station—this seems to be an intermittent issue rather than a chronic failure, because other staff often compensate and assist when needed. Another recurring note is that the administrator was not present on Sunday in at least one report, suggesting limited weekend administrative availability; families who require administrative contact or decisions on weekends may want to confirm current weekend staffing and escalation processes.

In summary, reviews portray Morrow Memorial Nursing Home as a high-quality, well-run facility with standout cleanliness, attentive nursing and CNA care, pleasant and secure physical spaces, good dining, and meaningful activities. Staff are repeatedly described as compassionate and familiar with residents, contributing to a respectful, personalized care experience. The primary areas to verify further—based on reviewer feedback—are intermittent nursing-station attentiveness and weekend administrative coverage. For most prospective residents and families, the dominant impression from these reviews is one of professionalism, warmth, and a thoroughly maintained environment that supports resident comfort and engagement.

    About Morrow Memorial Nursing Home

Morrow Memorial Nursing Home, sitting on Main Street and started back in 1984, serves as a family-run long-term care place, with an average of about 148 residents each day in a building with 175 certified beds. The staff includes over 100 people, and the daily nurse hours per resident sit above the state average at 4.28, which gives a bit more nursing time each day. This nursing home offers regular meals, laundry service, and a full range of health care, both for short stays like rehabilitation and for longer-term living, though past inspections did find some problems, such as an infection control deficiency and an issue with timely reporting of suspected abuse or neglect, along with concerns about food service not meeting professional standards. The total number of deficiencies in records sits at 21, with at least one violating federal standards for infection control. The owners-Millennium Bacchannal, LLC along with Paul Laporte, Shelda Tassin, Rebecca Cato, Darrell Morrow, and John Morrow-keep the family feel going, and staff try to make things comfortable, saying they want it to feel like "A Home Away From Home." There's a structured activity calendar managed by Resident Activity Directors and CNA staff, so residents get involved in arts and crafts, gardening, fitness, and holiday celebrations like Christmas, Easter, Mardi Gras, Valentine's Day, and Halloween. There's also lots of themed activities such as Senior Prom Pageants and Super Bowl Parties, with guests from local schools, bands, and community groups stopping by. Residents get the chance to go on educational field trips to science museums, take part in pet therapy programs, decorate their doors, and enjoy birthday parties and live music. Morrow Memorial Nursing Home tries to keep strong community ties, hosting volunteers and including family members whenever possible, but even with the many activities and caring staff, it has experienced some serious health and safety deficiencies that families may want to review.
