    Compassionate staff, clean, safe, recommended

I placed my grandfather here and I'm very pleased. The staff are professional, compassionate, patient (they even learned sign language), meds are on time, and there's a monthly on-site doctor; billing is transparent and affordable. The facility is very clean, safe, nicely laid out with a good caregiver-to-resident ratio and supportive leadership - family involvement is encouraged. Activities are hit-or-miss (minimal stimulation at times, though they do holiday events), but overall care and communication are excellent - I highly recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for CR Care of Clarksville Assisted Living is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize high-quality, compassionate care provided by friendly and professional staff. Many comments highlight personal attention — caregivers form strong relationships with residents, provide consistent continuity of care, and often deliver companionship described as friend-like. Families report peace of mind, noting that staff follow clinicians' instructions, administer medications on time, and that monthly on-site doctor visits are available. The presence of supportive leadership and responsive management is cited repeatedly, including examples of concerns being addressed and clear, transparent billing practices that families appreciate.

Facility and environment are also consistently praised. Multiple reviewers describe the homes and buildings as very clean, neat, well laid out, and safe. Reviewers call the facilities beautiful and well cared for, and they report that residents adjusted well to the environment. The physical space, combined with a favorable caregiver-to-resident ratio, contributes to a sense of individualized attention and safety. Additional practical positives mentioned include four meals a day and staff who learn additional communication methods (for example, sign language) to better serve residents.

Staffing quality and team dynamics are recurring strengths in the reviews. Caregivers and managers are described as friendly, capable, and professional. Several reviews single out supportive leadership and positive treatment of staff, which likely contributes to continuity and quality of care. Reviewers also note that the staff work well with families and clinicians, and that management is approachable — family involvement is encouraged and reviewers felt their questions were answered. Financial transparency and affordability are additional practical benefits cited by more than one reviewer.

The most notable negative theme is limited availability of activities for some residents. While a number of reviewers specifically praise engaging activities and holiday celebrations, an equally clear thread of comments reports lack of activities or minimal stimulation. This suggests some inconsistency in programming or uneven resident engagement depending on the house, shift, or resident mix. Other, less frequent concerns are limited capacity (at least one reviewer noted no room was available when needed) and isolated behavioral issues such as a quick-tempered resident. These negatives are not tied to care quality but to programming, availability, and occasional resident behavior.

In summary, CR Care of Clarksville comes across as a clean, safe, and well-managed assisted living option with compassionate, professional staff who deliver reliable personal care, timely medications, and regular medical oversight. Families appreciate transparency, affordability, and the peace of mind that results from consistent caregiver relationships and responsive leadership. Areas to monitor or improve are activity programming and resident engagement (to reduce reports of minimal stimulation) and capacity management to address availability when demand arises. Overall, the reviews indicate a highly recommended facility with strong strengths in staffing, cleanliness, and family communication, with a few operational areas that could be standardized or strengthened across homes to ensure consistent resident stimulation and access.

The community houses up to five residents, so everyone gets personal attention, and you'll find a lot of caregivers-sometimes one caregiver for every four or five residents, and often a 3:1 staffing ratio, which helps make sure everyone gets care when they need it, day or night. Residents get help with dressing, bathing, meals, transfers, and managing medications, and the trained staff watch over everyone 24 hours a day, with an RN on call. There's also specialized care for diabetes, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, palliative and hospice services, and respite stays for short-term needs.

Meals come fresh three times a day plus snacks, served in a big dining room and made by a dietitian to match special diets like vegetarian, kosher, or mechanical soft, and they take care to support diabetic needs too. The grounds outside are landscaped with gardens and spots to sit and visit or just watch the world go by, and there's parking for visitors and residents. Indoors, there are planned daily activities and entertainment, light therapy, social outings, shopping trips, picnics, and even devotional activities available off-site. An on-site salon handles hair and barber needs, and housekeeping, linen, and laundry keep things clean and comfortable.

Residents get medical support from in-house physicians, podiatrists, pharmacy, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, along with lab and X-ray services. The community provides incontinence care, high acuity care, transportation for doctor visits, and help with scheduling appointments. It's also wheelchair accessible, with accessible showers and fire/alarm systems installed for safety. The memory care unit is secured and set up to keep folks comfortable and lower confusion, with routines and activities made for cognitive needs. CR Care organizes all kinds of programs and encourages folks to join in games, music, and group events, which helps everyone stay involved and active.
