    About Yolanda's Home

Yolanda's Home provides elder care and assisted living in a quiet, cozy residential setting, with a private, fully-accessible house that feels like a real home, and Ms. Yolanda Elliott, the owner, manages things herself, making sure everybody gets personalized care and support in a safe and welcoming environment, and you can see that it's been around since June 1, 1985, so there's a good bit of experience here, plus it's been an LLC since 2014, licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians under number D53966, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ rating, which isn't something every place out there can claim. This is an intermediate care facility, so it's good for folks who can't live alone safely but don't need full-time skilled nursing, and they've got assisted living services like help with bathing, dressing, and medication, as well as round-the-clock supervision and support for daily living. Residents get regular healthcare services, including incontinence care and coordination with providers, but the care still feels very personal and gentle, with a staff that includes nurses, some physicians, and even a few animal friends wandering about, which can be a comfort when you're far from family. It's a safe place, with furnished rooms, a dining room, emergency alert systems, and move-in coordination, and while there was some trouble getting a complete list of every single amenity, there are walking paths, a garden, and community features like transportation, parking, housekeeping, laundry, and dry cleaning. Meals are prepared and served here, with special diets for those who need things like allergy-sensitive or diabetes-friendly foods, and there are social activities such as movie nights, daily events, and entertainment run by the community that let folks feel connected and involved. Residents can enjoy a warm family feeling, personalized attention, and spaces that are calm and inviting, so the people living here get care that fits their needs and keeps them comfortable and supported.
