    Warm attentive care, homelike environment

I chose Montgomery Eldercare for my dad and I'm very glad I did - the owners and staff are warm, professional and attentive, providing one-on-one, well-trained care with daily updates. The house is exceptionally clean, homey and well-appointed (large yard, activities, fresh meals), and my dad is happier, mobile and well-groomed. It feels like a safe, loving second home - a bit pricey but worth it; I highly recommend touring.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews for Montgomery Eldercare at Eastway Drive are overwhelmingly positive. Families repeatedly emphasize high-quality, attentive medical and personal care delivered in a family-run, home-like setting. The dominant themes are personalized 24/7 care, strong clinical oversight (including dementia and stroke recovery support), and a respectful, warm environment that preserves residents’ dignity. Multiple reviewers described the facility as their loved one’s "second home," with many explicitly recommending the home to others and noting that they would not move their relative elsewhere.

Care quality and staff: Reviewers consistently praise the staff as caring, professional, educated, and engaged. Several comments highlight proactive care coordination, quick issue resolution, and seamless transitions for new residents. Daily monitoring and regular updates to families were mentioned as routine, giving families confidence in safety and communication (including open communication during COVID). Specific caregivers were named and commended for attentiveness, and reviewers described noticeable positive outcomes such as improved weight after medication adjustments. The caregiving team is characterized as compassionate, affectionate, and resident-focused, with owners described as personally involved and responsive.

Facilities and environment: The physical environment is repeatedly described as exceptionally clean, well-decorated, and purposefully remodeled with patient needs in mind. Rooms are noted as spacious, well-lit, and furnished to a high standard. The property includes a large, well-kept backyard and garden space, with reviewers valuing outdoor access and walks. The small size of the facility (often referenced as 1–5 residents) contributes to a quiet, non-overstimulating atmosphere (for example, limited TV noise) and enables one-on-one attention. Reviewers cite a safe, comfortable, and dignified atmosphere where residents are groomed, dressed, and engaged.

Dining, daily life, and activities: Dining receives strong positive remarks: reviewers call the food top-quality, fresh, and home-like, with three meals plus snacks provided daily. Families appreciate that residents are fed well, gain or maintain weight appropriately when needed, and enjoy the menu. Daily life includes grooming, walks, activities, and attentive companionship; reviewers report residents being entertained, mobile, and in good spirits. The small setting facilitates personalized schedules and hands-on care, and some reviewers specifically noted best-in-evening care and well-coordinated routines.

Management and transparency: Multiple reviews highlight that the facility is family-run and the owners are actively involved, which reviewers view as a benefit for responsiveness and transparency. Owners and staff maintain regular communication with families, and this level of engagement was especially valued during COVID. Expansion plans were mentioned by some reviews, indicating potential growth, but most current feedback focuses on the existing small, tightly managed model.

Notable patterns and concerns: The primary concern repeatedly raised by reviewers is cost. Several families explicitly describe the facility as expensive and note budget constraints that may prevent others from choosing it, even when they believe it is worth the cost. The facility’s small size is a double-edged theme: it is praised for enabling personalized, home-like care, but it also implies limited capacity and may not match the preferences of families seeking a larger community setting. Beyond cost and size/availability, reviewers reported no consistent operational or quality issues; the feedback is otherwise uniformly positive.

Bottom line: Montgomery Eldercare at Eastway Drive is consistently presented as a high-quality, family-run residential care option with exceptional cleanliness, engaged ownership, well-trained staff, strong medical and dementia care capabilities, and excellent dining and daily living support. It appears particularly well suited to families who prioritize one-on-one attention, a quiet home-like environment, and close owner/staff involvement. The main trade-offs to consider are cost and limited capacity due to the very small size of the facility. Families evaluating this home should weigh those factors against the high marks for safety, professionalism, communication, and resident wellbeing reported by numerous reviewers.
