About JK House Of Grace, Inc. | Assisted Living Homes

JK House of Grace, Inc. runs four assisted living homes, three in the Aquarius community of Silver Spring, Maryland, and one in the upper Aspen Hill area of Rockville. These homes have operated since 2002 as family-run, privately owned places where seniors live in a quiet, home-like setting that's less crowded than big communities. Each home houses only a small number of residents, so people get more personal attention from trained caregivers who know them well and aim to meet their mental, physical, emotional, and social needs. Residents include seniors and adults with disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs, need total care, or have dementia, Alzheimer's, or behavior challenges.

Staff members help with medication supervision, meals, bathing, grooming, getting dressed, moving from place to place, and all the basic daily tasks, with a caregiver-to-resident ratio of 1:4 both day and night. Residents eat three home-cooked meals a day, made to suit dietary needs, and snacks, all approved by a registered dietitian. Services also cover laundry, regular housekeeping, and scheduled transportation for medical or beauty appointments whenever staff are available. The homes have fully furnished rooms, telephone service, baths or tubs in resident rooms, and common indoor and outdoor areas with gardens and walking paths. There's parking for residents, too. They offer in-home medical care options, with arrangements for things like X-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds, blood draws, and podiatry visits, and keep a registered nurse on call all day and night for emergencies.

Social life is active, with movie nights, health fairs, outings, activity programs, and chances to join devotional activities or pet therapy (with extra fees). The team provides help with diabetes, incontinence, tube feeding, Foley catheters, colostomy care, and coordination with doctors, nurses, or other agencies for more complex medical needs. They also offer special support for memory care and end-of-life hospice care as needed, always under dedicated supervision. Relief or respite stays are possible for short-term periods from 3 to 30 days. Staff call themselves a family-people like owner Jeries Khader, office manager Anthony K., business developer Juliana Khader, and "The Dementia Whisperer"-and they go out of their way to keep residents safe and comfortable, organizing activities, adapting menus, and making everyone feel at home. These homes welcome seniors who struggle with daily life or memory problems but still want a routine, supportive, and respectful setting.
