    Outstanding rehab, compassionate attentive staff

I'm very pleased with my experience-staff are kind, attentive and professional, the rehab/physical therapy team is outstanding, meals are good, and the facility is clean, welcoming and safe. Donte and Lucy in activities went above and beyond, nursing and management are responsive, and I'm grateful for the compassionate, thorough care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed picture. Many families and residents praise the facility's rehabilitative strengths: physical and occupational therapy teams receive frequent commendation for effective, measurable progress, and short-term rehab outcomes are commonly described as positive. Activity programming and social services are also noted as strengths โ€” activity staff are frequently characterized as engaged and supportive, and the facility offers on-site personal grooming services that families appreciated. Several reviewers described pleasant interactions at admissions and helpful case-management or social-work support.

At the same time, operational weaknesses recur across reviews. Medication administration and documentation are described as inconsistent, and reviewers identified delayed or missed medications as a recurring concern. Staffing levels โ€” particularly overnight and on weekends โ€” are a prominent theme; these shortages are associated with slower response times to call lights, delays in basic assistance, and uneven coverage. Reviewers also describe variability in staff professionalism and communication tone, ranging from compassionate bedside care to interactions perceived as insensitive or unhelpful.

Facility maintenance and infection-control issues are a notable pattern of concern. While portions of the building and common areas are described as clean and welcoming, other comments cite sanitation problems, localized odor concerns, mold or water-stain issues, stained equipment, and pest-control concerns. These inconsistencies appeared to vary by unit and by shift. Dining impressions are similarly mixed: some residents enjoyed the meals and found the menu varied, while others described inconsistent food quality and service reliability.

Management and administrative processes show strengths and weaknesses. Positive notes include caring social work and welcoming admissions staff, but families also reported communication and coordination gaps around discharge paperwork, delays in discharge planning, and occasional errors in documentation. A few reviews referenced regulatory attention and strong family concern about serious incidents; such descriptions suggest the value of reviewing public quality indicators and asking the facility about any recent corrective actions during a tour.

Practical considerations for prospective families: expect strong rehab and activity offerings and several dedicated staff members, but also probe staffing levels and weekend/night coverage, medication administration procedures, sanitation protocols, pest control, and discharge coordination. When touring, ask to see the unit intended for placement, request current staffing patterns, review medication-administration safeguards, and inquire about recent quality reports or corrective actions to get a clearer sense of the facility's current performance trends.
