    Spotless modern building, outstanding staff

I'm very happy with the spotless, bright, modern building and my spacious apartment - in-unit washer/dryer, plenty of natural light, ample parking and great common spaces. The staff are outstanding: friendly, responsive, know residents by name, and helped with our transition; communication is clear and there are multiple ways to reach them. The community is social and active with lots of programs, dining options, on-site services, and the ability to stay in the same apartment if care needs increase. A few caveats: it can be pricey, weekend staffing/meals have had occasional problems and turnover was mentioned, so I recommend it but suggest checking meal variety and weekend coverage before deciding.

    Summary review

Overall impression Many reviews portray Flourish Senior Living as a modern, attractive, and well-run senior living community with an emphasis on cleanliness, professional presentation, and strong resident-focused staff. The building’s newness and contemporary design recur as major positives: reviewers consistently describe bright, sunny apartments, balconies/decks, granite countertops, in-unit washers and dryers, and thoughtfully appointed common areas. The property is repeatedly described as immaculate and well-maintained, with lots of natural light and a fresh, hotel-like vibe.

Staff and care quality Staff quality and interpersonal care are the most consistently praised aspects. Across numerous reviews staff are characterized as friendly, caring, informative, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond; many comments note staff calling residents by name and creating a homey, welcoming atmosphere. Tour guides receive specific praise for being thorough and personable. Operational strengths include good communication channels, responsive maintenance, wellness checks, and available nursing/assisted services so residents can remain in their apartment when care needs increase. Several reviews emphasize the community’s ability to discreetly provide higher levels of care (assisted living) without forcing a move, which families find reassuring.

Facilities and amenities The campus amenities appear extensive and well-equipped for many residents: a full-size weight room, exercise spaces (including yoga and chair yoga), beauty salon, speakeasy/event spaces, crafts room with kitchen, library, and multiple community rooms. Parking options—including underground garage—and convenient proximity to grocery stores and other services are also called out. Some residents highlight physical therapy visits, activities buses, and well-run outings as valuable additions. However, there are repeated notes from some reviewers that certain promised amenities or additional common spaces were not accessible even after extended occupancy, suggesting uneven delivery or phased build-outs that not all residents found satisfactory.

Dining and food service Dining is a mixed but generally positive theme. Many reviewers rave about the on-site culinary team—some sites mention three chefs—and praise meal variety and quality (asparagus, salmon, Mexican, Italian, etc.). Several describe food as delicious and restaurant-quality, with an on-site chef and multiple dining options. At the same time, a number of reviews report operational problems: intermittent stock shortages, shrinking portion sizes, meals being out-of-stock, and weekend service issues linked to limited staffing. A few reviewers explicitly said the meals didn’t suit their loved one’s tastes or asked for more alternatives. Cost-related concerns around meal price increases were also reported and felt more acute by residents on fixed incomes.

Activities, social life, and pace The community is often described as socially active and engaging, with many daily activities, outings, exercise classes, games, and seasonal/weekly events (movies, picnics, food trucks, bingo, happy hour). Residents and families frequently mention an upbeat, busy environment with many happy, engaged residents. Conversely, several reviews point to a quieter or slower pace than expected for highly active seniors, with limited weekend activities and less variety for those seeking a very active lifestyle. Transportation reliability (broken activity bus) and weekend scheduling gaps were specific pain points affecting participation in outings and events.

Management, operations, and cost concerns Management and operational responsiveness receive praise overall—reviewers note good communication, helpful transition assistance, and staff who work through problems. However, staffing patterns are a recurring concern: weekend staffing shortages, fewer servers, and at least one note about high staff turnover. These staffing issues tie directly into other operational complaints, such as weekend dining disruptions and reduced activities. Cost and value opinions are mixed: many reviewers feel it is good value for private-pay residents and recommend the community, while others find it pricey or a poor value for fixed-income families, particularly where price increases have occurred.

Notable patterns and final assessment In synthesis, the strongest and most consistent positives are the facility’s new/modern physical environment and a highly favorable staff/resident culture. These strengths make Flourish attractive for families who prioritize cleanliness, personalized staff attention, on-site care continuity, and well-appointed amenities. The most significant and recurring concerns involve operational consistency—especially on weekends—dining reliability, transportation availability, and cost transparency for those on limited budgets. A smaller number of reviews mention unmet amenity expectations or a more sterile/small-apartment feel for certain units.

Recommendation guidance Flourish appears well-suited for seniors and families who value a modern, clean environment, strong personal staff relationships, and the convenience of on-site medical/assisted services with continuity of residence. Prospective residents who require robust weekend services, frequent transportation for outings, or who are very price-sensitive should specifically investigate weekend staffing levels, meal service policies, and any fees or recent price changes. As with any community, an individualized tour and follow-up questions about weekend staffing, activity calendars, transportation maintenance history, and written amenity access timelines will help determine fit for particular needs.
