    Friendly staff, outstanding care, welcoming

I highly recommend the Jordan facility - I never worry about my loved one's care because the administration and nursing teams are outstanding. Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, residents feel welcomed and eager to visit, there are plenty of activities with staff assistance, and the only drawback is the building is a bit old.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Valleyview Of Jordan is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing the quality of the staff and the reassurance they provide to residents and families. Praise centers on both leadership and frontline caregivers: reviewers single out the administrative team and the nursing team as "great" or "excellent," and they repeatedly describe staff as friendly, welcoming, and communicative. Several comments stress that residents are acknowledged and made to feel comfortable, and that families feel confident and unconcerned about the level of care being provided.

Care quality and staffing are the clearest strengths in these summaries. Reviewers note outstanding work by staff, consistent communication, and an environment in which residents are treated very well. There is a clear pattern of plentiful and available staff — "lots of staff around to assist" — which contributes to families' sense of security. The combination of strong administration and strong nursing suggests coordinated oversight and hands-on caregiving; reviewers specifically recommend the Jordan facility on that basis.

Activity programming and social engagement are another recurring positive theme. Multiple summaries mention activities for residents and that staff not only run programs but also actively assist with them. This engagement appears to contribute to a lively, social environment: reviewers report that residents are eager to visit and participate, which is an important indicator of quality of life in a senior living setting.

Facilities are the main and nearly sole negative noted: the building is described as old. While reviewers did not expand on specific problems (e.g., safety hazards, maintenance issues, or accessibility concerns), the age of the physical plant is a consistent caveat. An older building can be purely cosmetic, or it can signal needs for updates to accessibility, safety systems, or communal spaces — the reviews simply identify age as a drawback without further detail.

Notable gaps in the reviews: dining, detailed clinical outcomes, cleanliness, cost/fees, and specific safety protocols are not mentioned in these summaries. The available feedback is heavily weighted toward interpersonal and programmatic strengths (staff, activities, administration) with minimal commentary on the physical environment beyond its age and no direct remarks about food, laundry, or medical incident handling. Prospective residents or families should therefore view these reviews as strong indicators of excellent staffing and engagement but should ask targeted questions about the building condition, dining services, infection control, accessibility, and any recent or planned renovations.

In sum, Valleyview Of Jordan appears to offer warm, communicative, and attentive care with active programming and a social atmosphere that residents enjoy. The leadership and nursing teams receive high marks, and staffing levels seem sufficient to provide hands-on assistance. The main caution from reviewers is the facility's older physical plant; interested parties should verify specifics about maintenance, upgrades, and how the facility manages any issues related to an aging building. Overall, if interpersonal care, staff responsiveness, and activity engagement are primary priorities, these reviews suggest Valleyview Of Jordan performs very well in those areas.

    About Valleyview Of Jordan

Valleyview Of Jordan is an assisted living community for adults aged 55 and older, set on a 14-acre wooded campus right across from the Minnesota State Wildlife Refuge, and people will find walking paths and open spaces here that create a peaceful setting, along with three-story buildings for residents. The place has private studio apartments in different sizes with lounge areas, kitchenettes, phone desks, libraries, and some options for couples or residents who prefer more privacy or wheelchair accessibility, plus there are private cottages meant for those who are more independent and like a little extra space. Residents get help with daily activities like bathing, cleaning, getting meals, and managing medications, and the staff stays on-site at all times to make sure everyone's safe, awake, and cared for, and nurses and home health aides are among the team, while a nurse practitioner visits every couple of weeks, and a licensed psychotherapist comes in once a week. The facility provides assisted living at several levels of care, from light to heavy, and it offers memory care support for people with Alzheimer's along with diabetic care, transfer help for non-ambulatory residents, and the rule is that people must manage incontinence on their own. There are common rooms indoors so people can take part in activities-things like bingo, live music, holiday celebrations, social and educational programs, and some events outside, plus there are devotional services offsite for those who want them and a vented indoor tobacco room for those who smoke. Meals are served in communal dining rooms, and there are living rooms, kitchens, and decks for extra-care needs, while transportation is free for residents who need to get out to appointments or errands. Valleyview Of Jordan has a structured schedule of activities called Happiness Enhancing Activities, and there are mental health supports and psychiatric care on site because the community has a license for those, so folks who need extra help get that attention. Residents pay privately or may use financial support like CADI, EW, BI, or GRH Medicaid waivers, and the property has both private and semi-private accommodations. John F Bonner III is the owner, and Valleyview Communities manages the facility, but the place isn't BBB accredited. Staff aim to support residents with kindness, treating them with dignity and respect and tailoring care to people's individual needs, so it's really about making sure older adults have a comfortable, supportive space, and more details about the place can be found on their website at valleyviewcommunities.com.
