    Mom well cared for, socialized

My mom is well cared for here. The staff-especially Nurse Debbie-are friendly, knowledgeable, and keep open communication with our family; move-in was quick, they prioritize care and encourage socialization. I'd recommend it overall.

    About BridgeWater at Mankato

BridgeWater at Mankato is a senior living community that gives older adults many choices for living and care, so whether someone wants to live more independently or needs more support, the place has both private and shared suites with private bathrooms and kitchenettes, and all living spaces come fully furnished so new residents don't have to worry about moving heavy furniture or setting up their own place, plus the housekeeping, laundry, and linen services are done for everyone. The staff offers 24-hour supervision and assistance, there's a 24-hour call system, and licensed nursing staff handle medication management, diabetic care, incontinence care, and help with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, and even catheter care and wound care when needed, so people with higher needs are taken care of, with a lot of attention to daily monitoring like weights and vitals.

Residents get home-cooked meals, with menus planned around their choice and diet, and all the food and ingredients are organic, plus meals are made fresh for everyone, served in a family-style dining room that welcomes everyone. BridgeWater at Mankato has community activities happening inside and outside the building, some formal and some informal, with devotionals, arts and crafts, social gatherings, wellness programs, and even fitness center access and a media room, and for those who enjoy the outdoors, there's a dedicated outdoor space. Memory care is available, too, with safety features and staff trained to help people with dementia or Alzheimer's, using specialized activities and spaces to prevent confusion and wandering.

Other handy things at BridgeWater at Mankato include scheduled transportation to doctors' offices, transportation for errands, internet and cable TV, phone access, pet-friendly rules, air conditioning, and regular maintenance so no one has to handle repairs. There's a salon and barbershop, too, and all the spaces from common rooms to private suites are set up with safety and comfort in mind, with sprinklers, accessible features, and washer and dryer access. The staff is organized by a Director of Operations and there's always a care team on hand, so residents can get help with whatever level of support they need, whether it's assisted living, independent living, memory care, skilled nursing, home health care, long-term care, or hospice. For people who want a supportive, maintenance-free life with options set up for different needs, BridgeWater at Mankato covers most things that can help older adults keep their independence while having the help they need at hand.
