Community Involvement Program

Community Involvement Program, often called CIP, has been working since 1971 to help people with disabilities and mental health challenges live more independently and reach their personal goals, so you'll find programs there that focus on community engagement, support, and advocacy, with services running from employment consulting to transportation help, and they're big on supporting wellness, safety, and recovery for all residents. The facility offers a range of living comforts like fully furnished apartments, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a dining room, along with a garden and outdoor spaces for residents who like being outside or want some fresh air, and amenities such as a kitchenette, laundry, and regular housekeeping make daily life easier. Staff give help with tasks like bathing, dressing, and transfers all day and night, and there's medication management, coordination with healthcare providers, and meal services that take special diets into account, including diabetes and allergies. Volunteers play an important role too, and before joining, they go through orientation to learn about CIP's policy, history, and ways to support people, and they can try different activities like helping with events or writing blog posts or even serving as photographers for short, one-time events.
