    Friendly staff and beautiful apartment

I love living here - friendly, attentive staff who call me by name, nutritious meals, plenty of activities and a warm, diverse community. My apartment is beautiful (22nd-floor view!) and the location in the heart of Minneapolis is ideal. Staff consistently go above and beyond and I feel safe and comfortable at home. My only caveat: management can be inconsistent at times with visitor rules and grievance handling.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the review summaries is strongly positive about day-to-day living at Ebenezer Tower Apartments, with recurring praise for food, staff, programming, community, and the physical setting. Multiple reviewers emphasize the quality and variety of meals (described as nutritious and delicious), noting that menus are designed by nutritionists and that dietary accommodations and plentiful snacks are available around the clock. The dining program appears to be a consistent strength and is highlighted as convenient and resident-focused.

Care quality and clinical supports are also presented positively. Reviews mention both assisted living programs and memory care being available, and the setting is described as medically advanced. Several comments speak to client-first care: staff are reported to be reliable, attentive, professional, and responsive — answering questions, going above and beyond, and addressing grievances quickly. Personal touches such as staff calling residents by name, smiling, and contributing to improved resident mood are frequently noted, reinforcing a perception of individualized attention and compassionate caregiving.

Staff and community are central positive themes. The staff from management to janitorial personnel are repeatedly described as friendly, caring, and helpful. Reviewers report a welcoming atmosphere, strong sense of community, and a diverse resident population with rich backgrounds who share talents and experiences. Social opportunities and activities are well represented: there is a variety of activities that are intellectually stimulating, opportunities for resident artwork (including mosaics), and ample chances for social engagement. The property itself is described as well maintained and attractive, with decorating options for apartments and a range of living accommodations — including high-floor units (e.g., 22nd floor) that offer impressive views. The location is repeatedly praised as a great, central spot in the heart of Minneapolis.

Despite the many positives, there are notable and recurring concerns related to management that should not be overlooked. Multiple summaries raise complaints about management behavior, with specific allegations directed at a manager named Katrina (described as power-tripping and accused of lying about visitor situations). Issues mentioned include a trespass ban or visitor restrictions and the potential for legal action stemming from management disputes. These criticisms stand in contrast to the otherwise consistent praise for staff and property upkeep, suggesting that problematic interactions may be concentrated at the management/administrative level rather than with frontline caregiving or building maintenance.

Taken together, the pattern is clear: Ebenezer Tower Apartments receives strong endorsements for its food, clinical programs, staff bedside manner, programming, community feel, and building quality. However, prospective residents and families should be attentive to management-related complaints raised in the reviews. Recommended next steps for interested parties are to ask direct questions about visitor policies and complaint resolution processes, request to speak with current residents and their families about interactions with building management, and clarify how grievances are handled and escalated. With those precautions, the overwhelmingly positive aspects—particularly the quality of care, dining, activities, and staff responsiveness—make the community attractive for many seniors seeking assisted living or memory care in Minneapolis.
