    About Harbor Of Peace Village

Harbor Of Peace Village sits on five acres in Norwood Young America and has three campuses called The Villa, The Harbor, and The Haven, each one serving different resident needs, and you'll find assisted living, memory care, and independent living for folks aged 62 and older, plus people with disabilities. The apartments come in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans, and every unit has a living room, bedroom, private bath with a shower, sufficient closets, a kitchenette or full kitchen with range and fridge, and they all include basic cable, wireless internet, and all utilities except phone; they've even got telephone hook-ups in every unit if you want them. The whole place is smoke-free and they don't allow smoking anywhere.

They work to keep the grounds and apartments updated and neat, with outside gardens and walking paths for residents who like spending time outdoors, and you'll find guest parking on the property too. The community is pet-friendly, so some people have their animals with them. Inside, people can use common areas like a grand fireplace room, family lounge, media room, library for emailing family or reading, plus entertainment venues, a computer room, and a beauty/barbershop. There are activities like music, arts and crafts, gardening, board games, educational programs, fitness and wellness options, literary activities, and even escorted field trips and outings, so there's usually something going on if folks want to join in.

For meals, there's both communal dining and room service, with diets and nutrition needs looked after, including special menus if needed. Light housekeeping, linen changes, laundry, and general apartment upkeep are available, and there's a daily "OK" check, with monthly vital signs and an emergency call system in each unit. The part-time nurse on staff helps with health checkups and medication reminders, and there's medication management, as well as help with bathing, grooming, and dressing if anyone needs extra support, and they've got a 24-hour call system and supervision for peace of mind, especially in the memory care area which is secure for safety. Transportation to appointments, general rides, and even shopping are available, along with and transfer help.

Harbor Of Peace Village has an entry cost of $2,000, and it's licensed under state license number 408089. The management comes from both Ecumen, the state's largest non-profit for senior housing, and Cornerstone Management, who both focus on service and caring, especially for people living fully after 50. The main idea here is to create a comfortable community where people feel supported and can keep their independence as long as possible, with help there if they need it, and space to relax, join social life, or just enjoy the gardens and walks on their own.
