    Exceptional compassionate care, minor disappointment

I highly recommend this beautiful, sparkling-clean home - bright rooms, comfy recliners, abundant sunlight and even deer visitors. The staff and nurses are extraordinarily kind and dignified, coordinating dementia and higher-level care expertly with on-site medical/PT/OT, haircuts, home-cooked meals, snacks and ice cream. Daily text updates kept me informed and the team felt like dear friends; they've provided life-saving, compassionate care. I am upset they converted the public coffeeshop to residential-only and miss that gathering spot, but overall the care is exceptional.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple consistent themes praising the quality of care, the staff, and the physical environment. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize dignity, kindness, and compassionate care from caregivers and nursing staff. Staff are described not only as competent and professional—providing life-saving and medically coordinated care—but also as warm and personally invested, often characterized as dear friends. Several reviews specifically call out exceptional dementia care and the facility’s ability to meet needs beyond standard assisted living, supported by on-site medical services, physical and occupational therapy, and coordinated care plans managed by nurses.

The physical environment and day-to-day living experience receive high marks. Homes are described as clean, bright, and welcoming, with sparkling cleanliness and comfortable furnishings such as recliners and abundant sunlight. The setting is noted as beautiful and calming, with nature features like deer visitors contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Dining is a clear strength: reviewers mention healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks, plus small, appreciated treats (ice cream). Practical conveniences that improve resident quality of life—such as on-site haircuts—are also cited. Communication practices are praised, particularly the ease of receiving daily updates via text, which supports family members’ peace of mind.

Several reviews emphasize individualized, higher-acuity support: this includes dementia-specific expertise, life-saving interventions, and clear coordination of care plans by nurses and the care team. Reviewers recommend the facility for people who need more than standard assisted living, highlighting both medical capability and compassionate day-to-day assistance. The combination of medical services, therapy, and attentive caregiving appears to create trust among residents and families, reflected in multiple recommendations and high praise of the staff.

The principal concern noted across the summaries relates to a change in use of facility space: a public coffeeshop was converted to residential-only, and that decision generated negative sentiment among some reviewers. The loss of a favorite public gathering place upset community members and appears to be the main source of dissatisfaction recorded. No other consistent operational or care-related complaints were raised in the provided summaries.

In sum, the reviews paint Arthur's Senior Care as a highly regarded option with strong clinical capabilities, excellent and compassionate staff, well-maintained and welcoming living spaces, good food, and effective family communication. The dominant patterns are trust in the care team, appreciation for the homelike atmosphere, and satisfaction with services that go beyond basic assisted living. The only notable downside in these summaries is the change that removed a public coffeeshop, which created community disappointment but does not appear to reflect on the quality of resident care or facility operations otherwise.

    About Arthur's Senior Care

Arthur's Senior Care has two homes located on peaceful wooded lots in Roseville and Shoreview, Minnesota. Each home is licensed for assisted living care and looks like a private house, with six private bedrooms and bathrooms where each bedroom is set up to match residents' tastes, interests, and needs. The company focuses on providing memory care and assisted living for seniors, especially those with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, or ALS, and does this in a cozy, friendly, family-like setting where everyone knows each other. There are well-decorated communal spaces like a living room, dining room, kitchen, sunroom, and deck, and all homes are wheelchair accessible and fully secure.

Arthur's Senior Care has been in operation for over 35 years, offering personalized healthcare tailored to each resident. Every home has a rich staffing ratio of two caregivers for every six residents, so there's always enough support for daily life tasks, medical care, and engagement in activities. The staff are trained to give respectful, high-quality help for people with disabilities or who need memory care, and there's always 24-hour nursing on call along with in-home physician and diagnostic services.

The company, privately owned by James A Nelson and managed as an LLC, has about 30 employees, including specialized staff for memory care as well as a dedicated marketing director named Deborah Nygaard. They offer specific care programs and services with dedicated names, many of which focus on enhancing day-to-day life for the people who live there. The homes are in regular neighborhoods and are meant to feel safe and companionable, letting residents keep some independence in a setting that encourages engagement with the community. There are family support services, options for end-of-life care, and even hospice care right in the home. Arthur's Senior Care is BBB accredited, and everything's set up for seniors who need a safe, supportive place where the feeling of home is combined with professional, compassionate care.
