    Kind staff safe and comfortable

I placed my mother at Eagle Crest and I'm very pleased. The staff are kind, professional and genuinely caring - they communicate clearly (especially through COVID), keep residents safe, and often go above and beyond. Her sunny, comfortable apartment, good meals and steady activities make it feel like home, and the small, friendly community plus on-site memory/24/7 nursing give our family real peace of mind. Highly recommended.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive, with a clear majority of reviewers praising the staff, level of care, and community atmosphere at Eaglecrest Senior Housing. The most consistent strength cited is the staff: reviewers repeatedly described caregivers, nurses, administrators, and support staff as caring, compassionate, and competent. Many noted long-tenured employees, a high staff-to-resident ratio, dependable and personalized attention, and 24/7 nursing availability. Memory care receives especially warm praise for its family-like, home-style approach and dementia-friendly navigation, and several families reported that the staff went above and beyond, anticipating needs, calling residents by name, and creating a comfortable, homelike environment.

Facility and accommodation comments are largely favorable. Reviewers describe clean, well-maintained common areas and apartments that are bright, roomy, and airy, with large windows and some newly remodeled units and updated appliances. Onsite amenities that get frequent mentions include a restaurant-style dining room, beauty salon, workout room, underground parking, transportation services, and community rooms for gatherings. The location in Roseville is cited as convenient to grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants, and the facility’s Christian/Presbyterian mission and active chapel service are repeatedly referenced as meaningful to residents and families.

Dining and activities are important strengths. Many reviewers praised the food quality, restaurant-style presentation, and flexibility (two meals daily with options, snack responsiveness, and catering for events). A wide variety of activities and social opportunities are consistently described: exercise classes, ice cream socials, musical group visits, movies, bingo, volunteer opportunities, family-friendly events, and creative partnerships (e.g., a preschool next door for intergenerational activities). Multiple accounts also note that COVID curtailed some offerings temporarily but that staff provided socially distanced alternatives and frequent updates, and many activities resumed or were expected to return.

Communication and pandemic response are another repeated positive theme. Several reviewers highlighted clear and timely communication from management during COVID—vaccination coordination, email updates, and an essential caregiver program to reduce isolation. Many reviews explicitly reported no COVID cases among residents or praised the facility’s safety protocols. Families reported peace of mind due to transparent communication and proactive precautions.

Important caveats and negative themes also appear and should be noted. While most concerns are isolated, a few serious adverse incidents were reported: one review described a problematic feeding-tube insertion and attempted reinsertion that resulted in injury, and another described a security breach/attempted entry that raised privacy and safety concerns. Several reviewers described instances where management response felt dismissive or slow, and a few cited ill-trained or disrespectful staff. Other recurring, less severe negatives include pricing and affordability concerns (including confusing pricing ranges and the facility not accepting Medicare), a two-year residency requirement, and waiting lists for certain subsidized waivers or rooms. Some reviewers also found parts of the building dreary or in need of redecorating (dark dining area or hallways), and a minority mentioned that tour or marketing staff could be inexperienced or unfriendly.

Taken together, the pattern is of a highly regarded senior living community with particularly strong strengths in staff quality, clinical support, activities, and a homelike atmosphere—attributes that give many families substantial peace of mind. However, several practical and policy-related issues recur: cost/financial eligibility, occupancy restrictions/waitlists, and a small number of serious safety or management incidents reported by reviewers. Prospective residents and families would likely take away that Eaglecrest offers robust care options (including memory care) in a community-oriented, clean environment with energetic programming, but they should also inquire directly about pricing, Medicare acceptance, room availability, security measures, incident history, and dining/decor preferences when evaluating fit.

Everyone gets the basics like weekly housekeeping, laundry and linen service, and the building's kept in good shape with on-site maintenance. The environment feels open and welcoming, and staff gets known for being capable, involved, and friendly, and residents can get involved in social programs, games, movies, fitness classes, outings around the Twin Cities, wellness programs, and even spiritual care with the campus pastor if that's important. Volunteer opportunities, newsletters, and a monthly lease for the independent apartments make life here flexible. Storage lockers are available if someone's downsizing and needs extra space. Eaglecrest earns recognition for its activity programs and its caring treatment, and families know the staff keeps a close eye on everyone's well-being, especially in memory care, making it a place many find suits folks who want support, options, a bit of freedom, and a decent community as they age.
