    Compassionate staff clean safe engaging

I live here and am very pleased - compassionate, kind staff and caregivers, dependable meds administration, housekeeping and laundry. The community is clean, serene and inclusive, with engaging weekly activities (arts & crafts, games, outings), a theater room and occupational therapy; it's reasonably priced and I'm grateful to have a safe, enjoyable place to call home.

    Summary of reviews

Quinlan Home elicits a polarized set of impressions. Many reviewers highlight strengths in day-to-day resident experience: caregivers described as compassionate, friendly staff interactions, and a program of activities that includes arts and crafts, games, a theater room, and weekly outings. Occupational therapy and on-site laundry and housekeeping services are cited as available services, and the facility’s common areas are often characterized as having a serene, welcoming ambiance. Several reviewers recommended the facility and rated their overall experience positively, noting affordability and an inclusive community culture.

At the same time, there are consistent operational concerns across the reviews that prospective residents and families should assess directly. Sanitation and maintenance inconsistencies were noted, particularly in bathroom areas and in general upkeep of some rooms and furnishings; reviewers also described intermittent odor concerns. Laundry procedures and oversight appear uneven—some accounts praise on-site laundry, while others describe unsecured or poorly managed laundry processes. Room-sharing and limited private-room availability are described as part of the accommodation model, which may affect privacy expectations.

Staffing and management patterns show mixed signals. While many describe kind, respectful, and engaged caregivers, others report variability in staff professionalism and difficulties with responsiveness—examples include front-desk calls going unanswered and delays in communication. Medication administration is mentioned as a provided service, but broader concerns about billing and financial transparency appear in the feedback and merit careful review during touring and contract discussions.

Dining receives little specific commentary in these summaries; families should request details and sample menus during a visit. Facilities-related strengths include on-site recreational spaces and therapy services, but maintenance and sanitation issues are important counterpoints. Management-level issues center on communication, oversight of daily operations (housekeeping, laundry), and financial policies. Because the reviews are polarized, an in-person tour, inspection of resident rooms and bathrooms, direct questions about staffing levels and oversight, review of billing/financial procedures, and speaking with current residents or family members are recommended steps before making a placement decision.

    About Quinlan Home

Quinlan Home sits in St. Paul, Minnesota, and folks say it's got a calm and peaceful feeling throughout the place, so you'll find a quiet atmosphere there. The community can fit 58 people in assisted living units, with choices like studios, shared apartments, or one-bedroom suites, and there's things like a barber and beauty shop, walking paths, a garden, and a library for everyone living there to use. Meals get cooked by a chef and watched over by a dietitian, with options for special diets if you need them, and most days you'll get three home-cooked meals along with help during mealtime if required. Housekeeping, laundry, and routine health checks are done by staff so residents can focus on other things. Quinlan Home covers several types of care such as assisted living, independent living, residential care home, memory care, skilled nursing, and recovery care after surgery, so if a resident's needs change, they won't need to move far. There are physicians, psychiatrists, and psychoanalysts on hand for specialized clinics and mental health support, and there's a therapy staff that focuses on things like occupational therapy and helping everyone keep active. The staff makes sure bathing, medication, and day-to-day help is there when you need it, plus there's emergency response all day and night.

For entertainment and getting together, Quinlan Home puts on social and educational programs, has a theater room, and offers organized activities for arts and crafts, board games, and music, and residents enjoy garden time and outings too. There's a health room, hot tub, sauna, fitness and music programs, pet therapy, and a community kitchen where folks can participate or just sit and watch. If someone needs memory care for Alzheimer's or dementia, the place has tailored support and person-centered programs in that area, and caregivers seem known for being kind and understanding. The community offers help with getting to doctor visits, shopping, and faith services, and they try to make sure people feel at home and able to join in as much or as little as they want. Quinlan Home runs under Executive Director David Reynolds and keeps things organized through a review system verified by staff and community experts, with verified reviews available on SeniorAdvisor.com, currently showing a 5.0-star rating. They don't post prices up front, and they're not BBB accredited, but families can get guidance on long-term care decisions if they ask for it. Most people notice that the environment stays warm and friendly and that staff support independence while offering help when it's really needed, so residents find the right balance as they settle in.
