    Friendly caring staff, warm home

I moved in here recently and couldn't be happier - the staff are friendly, informative and genuinely caring, tours felt like home, activities are great, and Jenn's meals are hot and delicious. Move-in was quick, the facility is beautiful and residents seem very happy; I give them 5/5 and would recommend to other families. After a terrible previous rehab with high staff turnover, poor oversight, dirty rooms and medication issues, the difference is night and day.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is mixed and highly polarized: many reviewers praise the community, staff, atmosphere, dining, and activities, while a number of reviews raise serious concerns about clinical care, hygiene, and management. Positive comments consistently highlight warm, individualized care, a home-like environment, and supportive staff members — several reviews specifically name staff and the cook (Jenn) as standouts. Families and some employees report quick and helpful admissions and tours, and multiple reviewers emphatically recommend the community and rate it highly.

Care quality is a central point of divergence among reviewers. On the positive side, reviewers describe highly caring, individualized attention and residents who "love being there." Conversely, several reviews detail troubling lapses: medications not being given on time, poor medication delivery responsiveness, and at least one report of improper morphine administration. Reviews also allege poor hospice coordination or misrepresentation. These clinical concerns suggest inconsistent delivery of medical and hands-on personal care across shifts or units.

Staffing and management are another area of mixed feedback. Many reviews praise staff as friendly, loving, and attentive, noting an "amazing" team across locations and specific praise for activity staff and dining staff. At the same time, there are repeated reports of high staff turnover and low pay, which reviewers connect to gaps in accountability and continuity of care. Several comments call out lack of management oversight directly; others cite staff sleeping on phones and neglect of family needs. The combination of dedicated individuals and structural issues (turnover, pay, supervision) may explain the variability in resident experience.

Hygiene, cleanliness, and safety concerns are prominent among the negative comments and are particularly serious. Specific allegations include feces on the floor, residents soaked in urine, urine in sinks, dirty rooms, and medication administration without gloves or with poor hand hygiene. These reports point to lapses in basic infection control and sanitary practices that create potential health risks and contradict the otherwise positive descriptions of the environment. Ongoing construction cited in reviews could contribute to disruption and cleanliness challenges, but the hygiene complaints are specific enough to indicate problems independent of construction.

Facilities, dining, and activities receive largely positive remarks. Reviewers frequently describe the facility as beautiful and convenient, note that meals are delicious and served hot, and praise the activity programming and aides. The environment is repeatedly described as "home-like," and families report good tours and helpful admissions staff. These attributes appear to be strengths of the community and likely contribute to the high ratings and recommendations from satisfied families.

Patterns and likely explanations: the reviews suggest a community with genuine strengths — warm staff, engaging activities, good dining, pleasant physical spaces, and efficient admissions — but also with important and recurring operational weaknesses around management, staffing stability, clinical oversight, medication practices, and sanitation. The presence of both strongly positive and strongly negative reviews suggests that experiences may vary by unit, shift, or staff composition. Structural issues such as low pay and high turnover are repeatedly cited and may underlie inconsistent care practices.

Bottom line: Families report both commendable, home-like aspects and serious safety/quality concerns. The positive testimonials about staff warmth, food, activities, and environment are meaningful, but the documented hygiene incidents, medication errors/delays, and assertions of poor management oversight are significant and warrant careful attention. Prospective residents and families should consider touring, asking targeted questions about staffing ratios, turnover, medication administration protocols, infection-control practices, hospice coordination, and how management addresses complaints and supervises care. Current concerns should be escalated to facility leadership and, if needed, local oversight or licensing bodies to ensure resident safety and consistent quality of care.
