    Compassionate competent care, minor issues

I'm very pleased - the staff are caring, professional and attentive, the campus is clean and welcoming, meals are excellent, and activities/memory-care are outstanding; move-in, housekeeping and safety were smooth and my mom was well cared for. A few caveats: we've seen inconsistent staffing/laundry service, occasional dining/management hiccups and the place is pricey, but overall I highly recommend it for compassionate, competent care.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive, with a clear pattern: families and residents repeatedly praise the staff, the newness and cleanliness of the community, and the robust social and dining programs. Most reviewers describe Township Senior Living as a brand-new, hotel-like campus with spacious, well-equipped apartments (large kitchens, big bathrooms), upscale public spaces, and amenities such as a pool, gym, salon, walking trails, and green space. Cleanliness and upkeep are frequent highlights — many call the facility immaculate and say they notice no urine smells and excellent housekeeping (specific staff such as Emily are singled out). The community’s physical plant, décor, and modern safety features contribute to a high-end, comfortable impression for many visitors and residents.

Care quality and staff performance are the most consistently praised elements. Numerous reviewers use words like compassionate, attentive, and family-like to describe care partners, nurses, and management. Memory care receives especially high marks in many reviews: reviewers cite compassionate, patient, and dementia-knowledgeable teams, engaged directors (Beth is named several times), and staff who go above and beyond to support residents’ dignity and stimulation. Specific staff names (Mindy, Brittney, Frankie, Danielle, Kendra, Sierra) recur across reviews as examples of exemplary employees. Families report good communication from staff, regular updates, and a sense that residents are known by name quickly. Several reviewers recount staff efforts that felt deeply personal (staying in a room so a resident could hear a voice, celebrating holidays, arranging outings), and many say the community succeeded in making residents feel less lonely and more engaged.

Dining and activities are other strong themes. The dining program is frequently described as chef-driven and restaurant-style, with menu variety, daily specials, and flexible hours (open roughly 7am–7pm; breakfast-all-day noted). Many call the meals among the best in the region, and reviewers praise friendly dining staff and the availability of off-menu ordering. Activities are described as plentiful and well-run — live music, Friday happy hours, choirs, outings (for example, holiday light excursions and fishing trips), and a busy calendar that encourages socializing. Several reviewers highlight an active social life and say their family members quickly made friends and adjusted well.

Despite the strong positives, there are recurring operational concerns and a minority of negative experiences worth noting. Cost is a consistent caveat: multiple reviewers describe the community as expensive and say it may be unaffordable for some families; nevertheless, several also feel the price is justified by the level of service. Staffing consistency is another issue — numerous mentions of shortages, inconsistent staffing, and impacts on services (laundry not completed despite payment, inconsistent activities in some areas) point to operational strain at times. Dining consistency also has a few detractors: slow service, meals arriving cold when delivered to rooms, and occasional shortages of basic food items were reported. There are isolated but important reports about management problems, including claims of a hostile work environment, poor responsiveness from management, and disputes over charges to residents; these contrast sharply with other reviews that praise leadership and suggest variability by team or timeframe. A small number of reviews report concerns about Alzheimer's-specific care being inadequate and at least one COVID outbreak in memory care, which shows that while many families are very satisfied with memory care, experiences are not universally positive.

Other practical notes from reviews: some families found marketing or tour staff less polished compared with other communities, and a few reviewers described confusion about the distinctions between independent and assisted living offerings. A few small physical or service shortfalls were mentioned — lack of grab bars in some showers, closet-size concerns, and occasional odor issues — but these were far less common than positive remarks about cleanliness. Location is described by some as rural or off-the-beaten-path, which will be a pro or con depending on proximity to family and preference for a scenic setting.

In sum, the dominant narrative across reviews is that Township Senior Living is a new, upscale community with excellent cleanliness, strong amenities, an active social and dining life, and—most importantly—staff who are caring, engaged, and often outstanding in memory care and daily living support. However, prospective residents and families should weigh the higher cost and ask direct questions about staffing consistency, laundry and dining delivery processes, the handling of dementia-specific clinical needs, and any potential management or billing policies. Visiting multiple times, speaking with the memory-care leadership, verifying service guarantees (laundry, meal delivery), and clarifying independent versus assisted living options will help confirm whether the facility’s many strengths align with a particular family’s needs and expectations.
