Aspire of Excelsior Springs sits at 1003 Meadowlark Lane in Excelsior Springs, MO, and you'll find a place that's got all kinds of care. There are options like Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care, Adult Day Services, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, and even Hospice Care and Medicare-certified Home Health services, so folks can move in and get the right kind of help when they need it, and families can visit knowing there's a broad range of support. They focus on treating residents with attention, respect, and professionalism, and there's clear communication with both residents and families. Their dedication comes across in many ways, but all the basic routines are covered, from daily care to skilled rehab for those that need to recover from surgeries or illnesses, and there are fun community activities like golf tournaments to keep people connected. Aspire of Excelsior Springs shows an average CMS Overall Rating, and it accepts both Medicaid and Medicare, which takes some of the worry out of how to pay for things. It's a for-profit corporation, and it has 108 certified beds, usually hosting about 77 residents a day, so it's not overwhelmingly large. The nurse turnover rate runs lower than the state average at 43.9%, though the total reported nurse staffing hours per resident per day come out to 2.89, which lands below the Missouri average. It's worth noting the place does have areas to work on, as recent inspections found 29 deficiencies, including several tied to infection control, medicine storage, and hiring staff with the right certifications-that's a spot where there could be more than minimal risk, even if there hasn't been actual harm. Still, there's steady oversight, and the place keeps its doors open for people who need not only somewhere to live but a wide network of support, help with health services, and opportunities to engage with the local community and businesses, since they also run a community calendar, hold luncheons, offer job listings, and have meeting rooms and a resource library for business needs. While the facility's got a lot to offer, it's wise to check their most recent inspection and their current community programs to see how things are going these days.

Caring staff inconsistent medical care
My loved one lived here and I found a beautiful, very clean community with large rooms, wide halls, a big dining area, excellent activities and lots of kind, compassionate staff - my loved one truly felt loved and the food was very good. However, we experienced unacceptable care lapses: needed care/rehab wasn't consistently provided, staff sometimes avoided explaining health issues, communication and policies were unclear, and room cleanliness/odors made the stay stressful for our family. Overall, great programming and caring people, but verify they can meet your specific medical needs before committing.
