    Homey, clean, caring staff; pricey

I live in a small, homey 12-resident place that's peaceful and very clean - the skylit hallway and little library nook are lovely. Certified staff are friendly, caring and available 24/7; they handle meds, meals (desserts and great snacks), laundry, cleaning and activities on time and often go the extra mile. It's a bit out of the way and the price feels high (internet not included); I'd like more vegetable variety and updated carpeting, but I'm satisfied and would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Bristol Manor Of Maryville is largely positive, with recurring praise for the quality of care, staff attentiveness, and the intimate, home-like atmosphere. Many reviewers emphasize that certified staff are available 24/7 and that medication administration is handled professionally, contributing to a strong sense of safety and trust. Multiple comments highlight that the staff are caring, helpful, and often go the extra mile; families and residents report satisfaction with the level of personal attention and that staff are adaptable to resident needs.

The facility’s small size—around 12 residents—is frequently mentioned as a major advantage. Reviewers describe a quiet, peaceful environment where residents participate in activities and social opportunities feel more personal. The community’s included services (meals, cleaning, laundry, medication management, and activities) are repeatedly noted as comprehensive and convenient. Specific facility positives mentioned include a clean building and rooms, basic furniture provided in living spaces, a pleasant skylight hallway and a library nook, and reliable laundry service. Several reviewers explicitly recommend the facility and describe it as offering good value, reinforcing the perception of strong care quality.

Dining and amenities receive generally favorable comments but with some constructive feedback. Meals are served on time and include desserts and a steady variety of snacks (cookies and weekly snack rotations were singled out), which residents appreciate. However, there are repeated requests for more vegetable variety, indicating a potential area for culinary improvement. Another amenity-related concern is that internet service is not included in the cost, which may be important to some prospective residents.

Cost and physical updates are the most consistent concerns across reviews. Multiple reviewers feel the price is high for the location and express affordability worries; some explicitly state the cost is too high. The interior—including carpeting and general decor—is described as in need of updating by several reviewers, suggesting the aesthetic and comfort level could be improved. The facility’s somewhat out-of-the-way location and a few comments about some residents being stand-offish point to social or geographic factors that may make it less appealing for some families or residents seeking a more centrally located or socially gregarious environment.

In summary, Bristol Manor Of Maryville appears to deliver strong, personalized care within a small, clean, and homey setting, led by compassionate and attentive staff. Its included services and peaceful atmosphere are major strengths, and many families and residents report satisfaction and would recommend the community. Prospective residents should weigh these strengths against the higher cost relative to location, the lack of included internet, and the desire for updates to carpeting and decor. Minor food variety improvements (more vegetables) and consideration of social dynamics due to the small size could further enhance the resident experience.
