    Lovely staff, terrible management, unsafe

I love the small, close-knit feel — a loving administrator and many loyal, caring staff make it feel like family. But I’m deeply concerned: management is horrible, cleaning promises are unreliable, they’ve denied problems (we even found bedbugs), communication is poor, meds are delayed and overall safety/care is lacking. I’m planning to move my daughter despite the big hearts here.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed but leans toward concern: reviewers consistently highlight a warm, small, family-like culture while simultaneously reporting serious operational and care problems. The facility's small size and close-knit resident population are repeatedly described as strengths, with multiple mentions of a loving administrator and loyal, caring staff members who create a homey atmosphere. At the same time, several reviews raise red flags about sanitation, medication handling, communication, safety, and management responsiveness.

Care quality emerges as a central area of concern. Specific issues cited include medication delays and reports of poor overall care for residents. These are substantive clinical and safety issues; several reviews explicitly mention safety concerns and at least one family member planning to move their daughter out because of dissatisfaction. While some reviewers feel staff are caring and loyal, the reports of delayed medications and inadequate care indicate inconsistency in how residents' clinical and daily needs are being met.

Staff and interpersonal dynamics are described in contrasting terms. On the positive side, the administrator is repeatedly characterized as loving and as someone who keeps the place running, and some staff are praised as loyal and caring. However, other comments describe poor staff attitude and poor communication from both staff and management. That contrast suggests variability in staff performance and communication practices—some employees and leaders create a warm environment, while others are perceived as dismissive or unresponsive.

Facilities, housekeeping, and infection control are notable problem areas in the reviews. Bedbugs are specifically reported, and there are complaints about unreliable cleaning and broken promises regarding housekeeping. These sanitation concerns raise significant alarms for resident comfort and health, and they compound the seriousness of the medication and care issues noted by reviewers.

Management and administration receive mixed assessments but skew negative on operational competence. Although an administrator is personally praised by some reviewers for dedication and keeping the facility running, other feedback calls management horrible or in denial about problems. This pattern suggests that while individual staff or leaders may be well-intentioned, there may be systemic management shortcomings—particularly in follow-through, accountability, and responsiveness to complaints.

There is little or no information in the provided summaries about dining quality or activities programming; those aspects were not mentioned in the reviews supplied. The absence of comments on meals and activities means prospective families will need to request specifics and observe these areas directly during visits.

In summary, the reviews paint a facility with strong, family-oriented interpersonal elements that are undermined by operational failures: sanitation issues (including bedbugs), inconsistent care delivery (medication delays and safety worries), poor communication, and management problems. These combined concerns have prompted at least some families to plan relocations. The pattern suggests that while personal warmth and small-facility benefits exist, there are significant and actionable risks that should be investigated further by anyone considering this facility.
