    Homey spotless facility caring staff

I placed my grandma here for a respite stay and was very pleased. The caring, professional staff (RN, dietician and pharmacist assistant on site) kept her clean, dry, dressed, hair combed and nails painted, and they accommodated special diets and needs. The place is homey, spotless and supportive - staff go above and beyond as resident advocates, so I'd definitely recommend it as a very good option for senior care.

    Summary of reviews

Wedgewood Gardens is described as a facility with clear strengths in direct resident care and a home-like atmosphere. Clinical staff — including on-site RNs, a dietitian, and pharmacy-support personnel — receive consistent praise for being compassionate, attentive, and accommodating to special diets and individual needs. Families note reliable personal-care and grooming assistance, clean common areas, and staff who often go above and beyond; respite stays are characterized as comfortable and supportive. The caregiving culture is frequently described as enthusiastic and dedicated, and many comments emphasize a positive staff–resident rapport.

At the same time, multiple reviews raise operational and administrative concerns that prospective residents and families should evaluate. There are documented worries about management transparency, billing and refund handling, and at least one claim that rises to the level of alleged financial misconduct. Reviewers also describe inconsistent staff conduct and communication tone, which can translate into delays or variability in personal-care responsiveness. Clinical-process issues are noted as well, including gaps in medication-administration procedures and other safety-related practices. Additionally, families reported unclear processes around transfer or placement decisions, which can create conflict during care-level changes.

Taken together, the pattern suggests a facility where bedside care and day-to-day resident interactions are frequently strong, while leadership, administrative controls, and some clinical-procedure processes may be uneven. For prospective residents and their families, recommended due diligence includes: asking to review medication-administration records and safety protocols; requesting written billing, refund, and grievance procedures; clarifying transfer and care-level change policies; and discussing staff-training and supervision practices. Reviewing recent state inspection reports and speaking with current resident families can help further clarify whether the facility’s operational improvements are in place alongside its clinically positive attributes.

    About Wedgewood Gardens

Wedgewood Gardens offers both assisted living and memory care for seniors, with private and semi-private wheelchair-accessible rooms for those who need them, and you'll find dedicated caregivers and highly trained nurses on call all day and night to help with daily tasks like eating, bathing, taking medicine, or moving around safely, which comes in handy, especially if someone needs incontinence care, help with dressing, or Alzheimer's support, since the staff works closely with doctors and specialists to build good care plans and keep constant health checks. Residents get three home-cooked meals every day, approved by a registered dietician, and the kitchen can accommodate special ADA diets, plus snacks in between, and there's always fresh meals using Grove Menus to make sure dietary needs are respected, which a lot of folks appreciate, and if you don't want to cook or clean, you get laundry and personal housekeeping with your room too, and they'll handle utilities and cable TV, so you don't have to worry about extra bills.

The facility makes life easier with community amenities like dining rooms, furnished rooms, a homelike setting for get-togethers, an emergency call system, move-in help, and walkways outside that are all accessible for anyone using a wheelchair or walker, and if someone feels like getting their hair done or joining in for a field trip or a gardening activity, there's a barber and garden, plus bingo, crafts, music, and sing-along programs to keep minds and bodies active, and a fitness program for people who want something a bit more structured. Wedgewood Gardens has a gated backyard patio for safe outdoor time, easy telephone access, walking paths, an arts room, and holds movie nights, with community-sponsored activities all through the week, while staff arrange transportation for shopping, park outings, or medical appointments, and coordinate care with community physicians or specialists as needed.

With just 23 living spaces and a focus on keeping the place homey and personal, staff and residents get to know each other, and that sense of community helps a lot, especially for anyone needing extra memory care or just looking for day stays or respite care, and with a history of care dating back to 1996, folks can feel good knowing Wedgewood Gardens has been around a while and knows how to help seniors stay comfortable and engaged every day.
