    Old cramped facility, unresponsive administration

I placed my loved one here hoping for a homey, nostalgic feel, and the janitorial staff kept common areas fairly tidy, but the building is old, cramped, and has very small rooms with few amenities. Administration was horrible-uncaring, hard to reach, and issues (including belongings stolen from the room: clothes, phones, food) went unaddressed despite maintenance trying. Not worth the money; I'm moving my loved one out.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed but leans negative, with persistent and serious concerns about management, resident safety, and facility condition offset by a smaller set of positive remarks about cleaning staff and a home-like feel for some residents. The most prominent and repeatedly mentioned theme is dissatisfaction with the administration: multiple reviews describe the administration as "horrible" or uncaring, call out difficulty reaching the facility by phone, and report that reported problems are not addressed. Several reviewers explicitly recommend moving their loved ones out, indicating a strong lack of confidence in leadership and responsiveness.

Safety and security emerge as urgent issues in the feedback. Multiple reviewers allege thefts from residents' rooms, with specific items named (clothing, cellphones, and food). That pattern of stolen belongings creates serious trust and well-being concerns for families and residents. Coupled with reports that management does not appropriately address these incidents or is hard to contact, the perceived risk and lack of accountability are central negative themes.

Staffing and direct care impressions are mixed. Some reviewers say staff were "fine," and there are positive mentions of janitorial staff and that maintenance does make attempts to fix problems. However, there are also comments indicating inconsistent staff presence (staff being "out of town") and an overall sense that caregiving and oversight may be uneven. The positive notes about cleaning and maintenance contrast sharply with complaints about filthy rooms, suggesting variability in standards between common areas and individual resident rooms or inconsistency over time.

Facility condition and amenities are another mixed area. Several reviewers describe small, cramped rooms, too many residents for the size of the building, and an older facility with few amenities. At least one review explicitly calls rooms "filthy," while others praise the building's cleanliness and janitorial staff. This contradiction suggests uneven maintenance and cleanliness by location or time, and it highlights that physical space and amenities may be insufficient for some residents' needs. Overall, the facility appears dated and lacking modern conveniences for some reviewers, which contributes to perceptions that it is "not worth the money."

There is minimal direct commentary on dining and activities in these summaries; the only related notes are the theft of food from rooms and the general statement of "few amenities." The lack of mentions of robust programming, engaging activities, or dining quality suggests either that these areas are not standout positives or that reviewers focused their comments on more pressing management and safety concerns.

Notably, there are a few emotionally positive comments: some residents or family members describe a home-like, nostalgic atmosphere and even express a desire to return. These comments indicate that for certain residents the environment or community has personal value and comfort. However, these positive sentiments do not outweigh multiple reports of administrative failures, safety issues, and inconsistent cleanliness for many reviewers.

In sum, reviews point to serious and actionable concerns about management responsiveness, security of personal belongings, and inconsistent facility cleanliness and staffing. Simultaneously, the presence of diligent janitorial staff, maintenance efforts, and a home-like atmosphere for some residents are redeeming features. Potential residents and families should weigh the reported administrative and safety problems heavily and verify current management practices, security measures, room conditions, staffing consistency, and amenity availability before making placement decisions.
