    Kind attentive staff, comfortable facility

I placed my mother at Fountain Hills and in a short time we've been very happy. The staff are kind, skilled and attentive 24/7-Felicia and the nurses went above and beyond, worked well with hospice and outside providers, and treated residents like family. The facility is bright, clean and modern with roomy private bathrooms, lovely dining (chefs know residents' preferences), comfortable common areas and a home-like feel. We had one small personal-effects mix-up, but it was handled promptly. I highly recommend Fountain Hills.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews of Fountain Hill Assisted Living are overwhelmingly positive, with the dominant themes emphasizing compassionate, professional staff; a new, clean, and attractive facility; strong dining offerings; and attentive medical and hospice coordination. Multiple reviewers specifically praised the staff’s kindness, skill, and willingness to go above and beyond. The director and management receive direct commendation for professional, calming, and reassuring leadership. Many families reported that residents were happy, healthier, more socially engaged, and well cared for.

Care quality and staff: The most frequently cited strength is the caregiving team. Reviewers describe nurses and caregivers as attentive, patient, respectful, and knowledgeable. There are repeated mentions of staff showing compassion and treating residents as family, with specific anecdotes such as caregivers expressing concern for residents overnight and staff participating in family events. Several reviews note 24/7 nursing coverage and strong relationships with hospice and outside health providers, which reassures families about medical oversight. Dementia care is also called out positively, indicating the staff’s capability with cognitive-impairment needs.

Facilities and environment: Fountain Hill is described as a brand-new, well-designed community with modern, home-like common areas. Multiple comments reference bright, airy rooms, vaulted ceilings, and attractive design details (including an inside courtyard and standalone dining area). Rooms are noted to be a good size with private bathrooms and closets; double-room options for couples are available. The environment is characterized as peaceful, safe, and clean, and reviewers repeatedly mention an overall atmosphere of calmness and comfort.

Dining and amenities: Dining is another consistent positive. Reviewers highlight a lovely dining room, pleasant smells, very good food, and chefs who know the residents and their preferences. Vegetarian and individualized meal options are available, and families appreciate that staff accommodate dietary needs. Additional amenities noted include music (a grand piano occasionally played by residents and visitors), assistive technology like Alexa for communication, and 24-hour hydration support.

Activities, socialization, and family involvement: Residents are described as making friends and benefiting from socialization. The community supports family participation in events and transitions, with families appreciating encouragement to celebrate inside the community and support during bereavement. Activity programming is mentioned, though usually quantified as one to two afternoon activities; while this is better than no programming, it suggests a modest activity schedule compared with larger communities. Some residents may not participate in activities (a spouse noted not joining), which is common but worth noting when considering engagement expectations.

Management and operations: Management and leadership receive favorable mentions for being professional and helpful, with specific staff members named for praise. The facility is reported to be well staffed and well managed, and reviewers emphasize cleanliness and attention to detail. Because the community is new and growing (48 rooms noted), a few comments reference the facility’s developmental stage—this is framed mostly positively but may imply occasional transitional hiccups.

Concerns and negative patterns: Negative feedback is limited but consistent in a few areas. The most concrete issue reported is an incident involving a mix-up of personal effects (a ring swapped), and multiple reviewers referenced “small issues” or “care issues” without extensive detail. Activity offerings are described as limited in frequency (typically one to two afternoon activities), which may be insufficient for families seeking a more robust engagement calendar. Several reviews reflect short personal experiences or transitional stays, meaning some praise comes from early impressions rather than long-term observation. Finally, the community’s growth phase could lead to occasional operational adjustments as it scales up.

Bottom line: Fountain Hill Assisted Living presents as a high-quality, newly built community with strong, compassionate staff, excellent dining, and a comfortable, modern environment. Families consistently highlight attentive nursing, good coordination with hospice, personalized meal service, and management that communicates well and supports family involvement. Prospective residents and families should be aware of a few operational caveats—limited documented activity frequency, isolated reports of personal-item mix-ups, and some unspecified small care issues—but the prevailing impression from multiple reviewers is that Fountain Hill delivers safe, compassionate, resident-focused care and is highly recommended by those who have placed loved ones there.
