La Vida Llena Life Plan Retirement Community has been serving Albuquerque since 1983 as a not-for-profit, resident-centered community managed by Pacific Retirement Services, and you'll find that it's designed for older adults who want a safe place where they can stay independent as long as possible but will also have support when they need it, so there's no need to move far if care needs change. The campus has several apartment types-like The Isleta, The Jemez, or The Sandia-with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, and residents can choose layouts and even patios using a "Living Space Experience" tool, and you can live how you want while staying part of everything. Independent living offers a no-fuss lifestyle in an age-restricted environment with plenty of activities, social events, hobby groups like the Wood Shop, excursions, and community dining spaces where folks share meals. Assisted living services are available for those who need extra help, and that includes housekeeping, linen service, scheduled rides to doctor appointments, meals cooked in-house, and an emergency call system with staff available around the clock, plus there's emotional support, help getting around the community, and help with reading, writing, and talking if needed, so people can make their own choices while getting help just when they ask for it. There's extensive Life Enrichment programming that's all about wellness, social bonds, education, and volunteer work, and people like to gather at the pool, the hot tub, the fitness center, activity rooms, the library, or the beauty and barber shop, and there's music, arts and culture programs, and more lined up every month. Health care's available right on campus, with a licensed and certified nursing center serving both short-term rehab and long-term care, and there's on-site hospice, memory care, and support for those living with Alzheimer's or dementia in the Mi Casa Memory Care area, where staff create personal care plans, perform memory assessments, and focus on safe, dignified living. Residents can age comfortably in their apartment, since all care levels-independent, assisted, nursing, and memory care-are on the same campus under the Life Plan (also called "Life Care"), and folks get lifelong access to housing and care, even if their finances change. Amenities come with lifetime use after an entry fee and cover everything from recreational and educational programs to a resident portal for easy info sharing, and there's support available for help with things like long-term care insurance and VA benefits. The Full Life Foundation supports resident well-being, the Del Corazon Hospice Care Team serves people with greater care needs, and the Life Enrichment team keeps a focus on health and staying active. The community's known around town for being beautiful and kept up by a staff that's described as kind and caring, and you'll see people chatting in the dining rooms, meeting rooms, or out near the gardens and walking trails. La Vida Llena Life Plan Retirement Community is Albuquerque's only Life Plan Community, and it really covers the full range-from independent living to skilled nursing-making it a place where people can grow older without having to give up familiarity, community, or control over their own day-to-day decisions.

Spotless community with caring staff
I moved in recently and it's been the best move I've ever made. The community is beautiful and spotless, with abundant amenities - pool, gym, libraries, artwork and fine dining - and a Life Plan that gives real peace of mind. The staff are amazing: friendly, attentive, hardworking and genuinely caring; move-in was smooth and responses are prompt. I feel grateful for the camaraderie, faith activities and security of advanced healthcare access - I highly recommend this place.
