    Compassionate, clean, engaging senior care

I chose this new, modern community for my mom and have been very pleased. The facility is clean, warm and homey with a cozy fireplace and nicely personalized rooms. Staff are exceptionally friendly, caring, and attentive - nurses and aides manage meds well, communicate with families, and really go above and beyond. There are plenty of engaging activities (exercise, bingo, painting, gym), residents seem happy and secure, and the transition was easy - I would recommend it for compassionate, professional senior care.

    Summary of reviews

Field of Dreams presents as a largely new and well-maintained senior living community with many reviewers praising the physical plant, the social environment, and the caregiving team. The building and resident rooms are frequently described as modern, clean, and comfortable; reviewers note opportunities for room personalization and common-area features such as a prominent fireplace. Overall impressions emphasize a secure, home-like atmosphere and active social life.

Care quality and staff interactions are among the facility's strongest themes. Multiple reviewers describe aides and nurses as attentive, caring, and willing to go beyond baseline duties. Medication management and supportive approaches for residents with cognitive or mental-health challenges are highlighted positively. Family communication is generally reported as good, and many families said transitions were smooth and residents adjusted well. At the same time, there are concerns tied to management practices: reviewers indicate administrative issues that can affect staff training, shift coverage, and employee morale. Prospective families should inquire about current staffing patterns, staff training programs, and contingency plans for coverage.

Dining receives mixed but mostly favorable comments. Several reviews describe nutritious, hearty meals with at least two choices and filling portions; there is also consistent mention of active holiday or special-event menus. However, some reviewers noted occasional changes in kitchen staff and variability in meal quality. If dining is a central consideration, visitors should sample meals and ask about kitchen staffing continuity and menu rotation.

Activities and social programming are well-developed and frequently praised. The community offers a range of daily opportunities including chair exercises, bingo, painting, arts and crafts, and use of an on-site gym. Holiday events and encouragement of participation contribute to a family-like social environment, and reviewers report that these programs support mobility and social adjustment for new residents.

There is a clear pattern of positive sentiment about facilities and value, though perceptions of cost vary. Several families describe the facility as good value or reasonably priced; others characterize costs as higher than they expected. Another recurring operational note is limited pre-move transparency for some prospective residents—examples include reliance on pictures instead of on-site visits—so scheduling an in-person tour is advisable.

In summary, Field of Dreams appears to offer strong day-to-day caregiving, modern and clean facilities, robust activities, and an engaged community atmosphere. Key operational cautions relate to administrative and management practices (notably staff training and shift coverage), occasional variability in meal-service continuity, and mixed perceptions of pricing and pre-move information. Prospective residents and families should prioritize an on-site visit, taste the food, review staffing and training policies, and ask for current staffing/coverage data before making a decision.

    About Field of Dreams

Field of Dreams sits in St. Bonaventure, NY, and stays open day and night, all year round, so you'll always find someone there no matter what time it is, and the staff, known for being friendly and joyful, are always ready to help, making the place feel warm and welcoming, and you know life can get busy, so they've got everything from assisted living to memory care, along with respite care, independent living cottages in a secure 55+ area, and adult day care programs, so seniors at all stages can find support. The campus has fishing ponds, a beauty salon, fitness center, and high-speed internet, and you'll see private suites and independent cottages that give seniors the chance to stay active, downsize, and keep up with friends in a lively, social setting where social engagement happens daily, whether folks are meeting up for activities, enjoying scheduled events, or just chatting in common spaces, plus meals come prepared with care so folks get tasty, nourishing dishes every day, because keeping everyone healthy and satisfied matters a lot there.

On the medical side, Field of Dreams offers things like glucose testing, occult blood testing, community screening, and COVID-19 antigen testing, and the facility stays up to date on licensing with biannual reviews and holds a WAIVER certificate, so families can know the standards are followed, while a team of certified and licensed staff led by Dr. Tomasz B Woloszyn supervises care around the clock, managing medication and helping with daily needs, whether someone requires nursing home-level help or just light support. Independent living cottages let healthy seniors stay connected and hassle-free, while on-site memory care gives people with Alzheimer's or dementia therapies and housing to stay safe, avoid wandering, and find comfort, and the home care program sends aides out to help folks at home if needed, so there's attention even for those who don't live right on the main grounds.

Field of Dreams puts a big focus on social, physical, mental, and emotional health, and the activity programs have even won awards for keeping everyone engaged and involved; newcomers can tour the place to see how meals, activities, and daily life work before making decisions, and the campus has transportation and convenient parking to make visits and coming and going easy. With a top-rated 5.0 average from a few reviews and a "Best of Senior Living" mark, the community seems dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and lively home for seniors where they can settle in, make friends, and find both care and independence as they need, and every detail from companion care to flexible adult day care shows a thoughtful, simple approach to helping seniors feel secure and valued.
