    Grateful but concerned about management

I placed my mom here and overall I'm grateful - the staff (helpful, caring and professional; shoutout to social worker Dawnell and aides Rick and Bella) communicate well, mom loves the food, her emotional and physical health have improved, and the location, scenery, parking and cleanliness give our family peace. That said, I've seen management problems: low pay (~$14-$16/hr), reports of unlicensed/unqualified hires and CNAs being unfairly blamed, so I would not recommend working here. For residents and families it's been largely positive, but staffing/management issues are concerning.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is mixed but leans positive regarding resident care, family communication, and the physical environment, while raising notable concerns about management practices and staffing policies. Multiple reviewers highlight compassionate, friendly, and professional direct-care staff who have contributed to meaningful improvements in residents' emotional and physical health. Specific staff and roles are praised by name, including social worker Dawnell and aides Rick and Bella, and reviewers repeatedly note that staff went above and beyond typical duties. Families report great communication with the facility and a resulting sense of peace and reassurance, with one reviewer explicitly saying the arrangement brought peace to the family. The presence of a memory care unit is mentioned and appears to be a relevant service for some residents.

Care quality appears to be a strong point from the family perspective. Reviewers describe significant progress in both emotional and physical health for their loved ones, and overall satisfaction with how residents are treated. Dining is called out positively—one reviewer states that their mom loves the food—which complements comments about attentive caregiving. The combination of helpful social work support, named aides, and excellent communication suggests the facility is effective at coordinating care and keeping families informed.

The facility's physical aspects are also consistently praised. Multiple reviews mention a great location and beautiful scenery, along with a very clean facility and adequate parking. These details point to a well-maintained campus that contributes to a positive day-to-day experience for residents and visitors. Terms like 'nice place' and 'professional staff' reinforce an overall impression of a generally pleasant and orderly environment.

However, several serious concerns are raised about management and staffing that temper the positive feedback. Multiple reviewers allege management problems and specifically call out reports of unqualified or unlicensed hires. There is an explicit comment that CNAs are sometimes 'thrown under the bus,' indicating potential issues with supervision, accountability, or workplace culture. Low pay for staff, cited as $14–$16 per hour, is raised as a complaint and accompanies a strong warning from at least one reviewer advising people not to work there. These themes suggest staff dissatisfaction and possible turnover risks, which could undermine care continuity over time even if current direct-care interactions are strong.

Taken together, the pattern in these reviews is clear: families and residents often experience compassionate, communicative, and effective caregiving in a pleasant, clean facility with good amenities and food, which leads to measurable improvements in resident wellbeing and family peace of mind. At the same time, internal operational issues related to management decisions, hiring practices, licensing concerns, staff compensation, and workplace culture are recurrent negative themes that could pose risks to staff morale and long-term stability. Prospective residents and families may reasonably feel reassured by the quality of day-to-day care, but employees or those evaluating the facility's organizational health should pay close attention to the management and staffing concerns raised by reviewers.
