    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Cedars of Lebanon Rehabilitation & Nursing Care are overwhelmingly positive, with consistent praise focused on the staff, the caregiving culture, and the facility's cleanliness and homelike atmosphere. Multiple reviewers—family members and presumably residents—use strong language such as "treated like family," "awesome place," and "5 stars," and several explicitly state they would recommend the facility. No recurring negative themes or specific complaints appear in the supplied summaries.

Care quality and staff interactions: The dominant theme across the reviews is the high quality of interpersonal care. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize that staff go "over and above," are "patient and kind," and create a "loving" or "home-like" environment. Staff are described as responsive, friendly, and helpful, and there are multiple mentions of positive staff-resident relationships and teamwork. Leadership also receives positive mention (the Director of Nursing is described as "very sweet and kind"), suggesting that both frontline staff and supervisory personnel contribute to the positive care culture.

Facility condition and environment: The facility is described as clean, with no odors, and providing a pleasant, home-like feel. Several comments note that residents seem upbeat and happy, reinforcing the impression of a comfortable living environment. These observations point to strong housekeeping practices and an overall environment conducive to resident comfort and dignity.

Operations, staffing, and workplace culture: Reviewers characterize Cedars of Lebanon as well run and operated, with experienced and professional staff. There are explicit notes that it's a "great place to work," which can be an indirect indicator of staff retention and morale—factors that often correlate with consistency in care. The repeated mentions of dedicated staff and good teamwork support a picture of a facility with stable, engaged caregivers.

Missing or limited information: The supplied reviews provide limited or no information on several important areas that prospective residents or families often evaluate, including dining quality, activity programming and social engagement details, clinical outcomes (e.g., rehospitalization, infection rates), therapy services (physical/occupational/speech), staffing ratios, admission processes, and cost/insurance handling. Because these topics are not covered in the summaries, no conclusions can be drawn about them from the available data.

Notable patterns and caveats: The reviews are consistently positive and focused heavily on subjective experiences of staff kindness, responsiveness, and the facility atmosphere. While that is valuable, the absence of negative comments could reflect selection bias (satisfied families more likely to submit summaries) or the limited sample of summaries provided. There are no specific operational complaints (e.g., medication errors, slow responses to call lights, or management issues) in the supplied text, but the lack of such reports should not be taken as definitive proof they never occur.

Recommendations for prospective residents and families: Based on the overwhelmingly positive staff- and environment-related feedback, Cedars of Lebanon appears to excel at producing a caring, respectful culture and maintaining cleanliness. Prospective residents should consider an in-person tour to verify atmosphere and cleanliness firsthand, ask targeted questions about clinical services and outcomes (therapy offerings, staffing levels and ratios, medication management), request menus and sample activity calendars if dining and programming are important, and inquire about complaint resolution and visitation policies. These follow-up steps will fill gaps not addressed by the reviews while confirming the strong interpersonal and environmental qualities consistently reported.

About Cedars of Lebanon Rehabilitation & Nursing Care

Cedars of Lebanon Rehabilitation & Nursing Care sits in a peaceful spot in the historic downtown area of Lebanon, Ohio, at 102 E Silver St, and the place runs as a skilled nursing facility providing a calm setting in a single-story building with a home-like feel, where the staff calls residents by name and treats them kindly, a lot like family does. Residents can choose from suites or studio rooms, with each room fully furnished and offering a kitchenette, WiFi, in-room phones, and flat-screen TVs with cable, and there's housekeeping and linen services to keep things easy and tidy, plus meals are served restaurant-style with attention to dietary needs, and kitchenettes are supplied for those who want to make something simple on their own schedule. In the shared spaces you'll find a main dining room, updated lounges for socializing or watching television, an outdoor garden area with seating, and a small library for those who still like to read from the page, so if someone wants to step outside for some sun or visit a quiet spot, there's always somewhere to go.

The facility provides skilled nursing care and offers several types of support, including short-term rehabilitation for people recovering from illness or surgery, long-term care for those with chronic conditions, respite stays for family members who need a break, and focused memory care for those living with dementia and Alzheimer's. Licensed nurses are present around the clock, managing daily medical needs like medication, IV therapy, wound care, and pain management, and therapy services-physical, occupational, and speech-are available daily, with laboratory and X-ray services and a physician and psychologist on-site. Residents who need help with personal tasks such as bathing, dressing, and getting up or down receive caring assistance, and the facility runs a secured mental health behavioral wing to support people who need a safe, controlled setting due to behavioral or psychiatric concerns.

Cedars of Lebanon features a beauty salon where people can relax and enjoy haircuts and grooming, and the activity calendar stays full with community-sponsored and resident-led events, weekly outings, religious services, and social meet-ups, which helps everyone stay engaged and feel less alone day to day. There's also a focus on supporting independence, so support is tailored to each resident's needs, helping them take care of as much as possible by themselves while lending a hand with whatever's needed.

The stable, long-experienced staff operates under the principles of compassion, dignity, and unity, making the community friendly and consistent, with the management team-part of CCH Healthcare-setting high healthcare standards, and you get a clear sense when you walk around that the team tries to offer both expert care and simple comfort, understanding that little touches like tasty meals or a favorite book in the library can matter as much as medical skill. This facility recognizes that every resident is different, so the care fits the person, whether someone's staying for a few days' respite or looking for a place that feels like home for long-term care, and while it doesn't promise perfection, it does promise steady hands, respect, and a sincere effort to keep folks safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.
