    Inconsistent care, serious safety concerns

I had a mixed, ultimately concerning experience. Some nurses, aides, dietary and activities staff were wonderful - friendly, attentive, with good meals and programs - but staffing was inconsistent and several aides and nurses were rude or indifferent. Maintenance and cleanliness were hit-or-miss (leaks, broken phones, torn wallpaper, some filthy rooms), and basic services like meds, bathing, food and water were sometimes neglected. I learned of serious safety problems (falls, missed care, stolen items, poor incident reporting, even a death) and found administration slow or unresponsive. I can't recommend this place without verifying staffing, safety protocols and clear communication first.

    About Landmark of Midwest City

Landmark of Midwest City sits at 8200 National Ave and gives older adults a place where care is tailored to fit unique health needs, with experienced nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and other healthcare workers working together to help residents every day, making sure people get help with moving around, daily activities, medication, bathing, and dressing, and offering supervision night and day so people with memory problems or medical needs don't get lost or wander off. This isn't a place where things are left to chance, since areas are protected and staff check on residents often, plus experienced counselors provide mental health care, including therapy and support for individuals, couples, and families, which adds another layer of help for people dealing with life's stress or confusion. Being a skilled nursing facility and Continuing Care Retirement Community, Landmark handles different kinds of medical problems, from short-term respite stays to long-term care, including memory care with programs called Living Well, In Motion, and Memory Springs, and people can pay with private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or private pay. There are private suites and shared rooms, with air conditioning, wifi, cable TV, private bathrooms, and even kitchenettes, giving people comfort and a space to call their own-even if the place doesn't list every detail about furniture and decor. Meals are cooked by a chef and served restaurant-style in the dining room, with special diets for things like allergies or diabetes, and the building has a library, fitness room, movie theater, arts room, and activity spaces, along with outdoor spots like a garden, so people can spend time in ways they enjoy, from fitness classes to music programs to movie nights. Housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, move-in help, and a concierge keep things running, while transportation and parking services are ready for getting to appointments or outings, even if details about parking aren't all listed clearly. There's no information about pets, rental terms, or policies, and it runs as a for-profit business owned by a Limited Liability Company, with certified beds and connections to Medicare and Medicaid programs. Resident and family councils play a role in voicing concerns and improving life in the community, adding another way people can look out for each other, and nursing care is there for 12-16 hours a day, with a 24-hour call system-so somebody's always around when help is needed, any day of the week. All in all, Landmark of Midwest City offers a safe, controlled place for seniors dealing with health challenges, pointedly designed to meet individual needs, with basic comforts, a busy calendar, and many layers of care, even though not every detail about rooms, rules, or extra features is spelled out.
