    Impressive facility, caring staff, recommend

I toured the facility and was impressed — the staff and main nurse were wonderful, very helpful, and answered all my questions. It’s very clean, has solid COVID protocols, feels safe, the food is good, and there are lots of activities; I would live there if I could and would recommend it. It wasn’t the care we needed, and I’d suggest staff help seat residents together at meals so they can communicate more.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Country Gardens is positive, with consistent praise for the staff, activities, dining, and facility cleanliness. Reviewers emphasize that the staff are helpful and responsive—one review calls out the main nurse specifically as easy to work with—and tours are described as welcoming and informative. The facility’s COVID protocols and general cleanliness are highlighted as strengths, and at least one reviewer explicitly says they would recommend the community and would live there themselves if circumstances allowed.

Dining and programming are clear highlights. Multiple reviewers mention enjoying the food and the breadth of activities available, suggesting an active social calendar and satisfying meal options. These elements contribute to a strong quality-of-life impression for residents who fit the community’s care model. The combination of good food and frequent activities appears to be a major draw and is repeatedly mentioned as a positive feature.

Staffing and care impressions are largely favorable in tone. Reviewers describe staff as great, helpful, and communicative; the main nurse is singled out as particularly easy to work with, and staff answered questions during tours. Safety protocols—especially COVID-related measures—are noted as professional and effective, which reviewers tie to residents feeling protected and secure in the community.

There are a couple of notable concerns and a concrete suggestion that surface in the reviews. One reviewer recommended that staff assist in seating residents together during meals to encourage communication and socialization; this implies that meal seating is currently left to residents and that more proactive facilitation could improve social connections. Another reviewer stated that Country Gardens was "not the care we needed," indicating that the community may not serve every care requirement or level of need. This suggests a potential mismatch for some prospective residents whose clinical or support needs fall outside the facility’s scope.

In summary, Country Gardens presents as a well-kept, safely run community with engaged staff, appealing dining, and a robust activity schedule—features that lead to strong recommendations from reviewers. Prospective residents and families should expect a clean, socially active environment with attentive staff and good infection-control practices. At the same time, they should verify that the specific care services and levels offered match the resident’s clinical needs and discuss whether staff can provide more active social facilitation during meals if enhanced mealtime socialization is a priority.

Country Gardens sits on 10 peaceful acres on the edge of Muskogee and offers assisted living and Alzheimer's Care for seniors looking for both support and community. The place stays open for visitors and activities around the clock, and the building itself feels open and bright with its tall ceilings, premium finishes, and well-kept apartments that come in studio or one-bedroom layouts, each with kitchenettes, cable, and internet. Residents can bring pets along, too. The grounds have gardens, patios, and outdoor seating, so there's always a place for fresh air or joining the gardening group, and they keep things lively with a robust social calendar, from Tai Chi and arts & crafts to music activities, story time, cooking club, outings to local sights, and even a Fall Festival Open House.

The dining hall serves freshly prepared, nutritious meals restaurant-style, but residents can request room service or invite guests for meals if they want. Staff help with bathing, dressing, medication management, and other daily needs, and there's a nurse on site part-time, so folks get the help they need while holding onto their independence as much as possible. Wellness programs focus on exercise and movement, and the place comes equipped with a game room, library, fitness area, spa, and a salon for haircuts or barber services. Residents find housekeepers handle cleaning, laundry, and linen service, with options for extra help if needed, and there's transportation for errands or outings, plus support with VA benefits and health care needs.

The staff foster a family-like environment and keep safety a priority, with 24-hour supervision and close attention to clean, healthy spaces. The month-to-month rent makes planning simple, and the management team gives folks options to pick the level of care that fits them best, whether general assisted living or special Alzheimer's Care. The community values personal attention and social connections, and everyone gets a say in shaping their own day through activities and the "Flourish" hobby program, which encourages folks to explore new interests. Country Gardens holds a license as an Assisted Living Facility (AL5103) and follows state rules, so families get peace of mind knowing care meets required standards. The friendly setting and plenty of amenities give residents a place where they can be comfortable, active, and feel at home, all tucked into the quieter side of Muskogee.
