    Warm homey care, inconsistent cleanliness

I liked the warm, classy, homey feel - lovely grounds, engaging activities, and many professional, friendly staff who provided good meals and care. My experience was mixed overall: cleanliness and security were inconsistent (filthy carpet, dirty areas), a few staff were rude or inattentive, and there was a Covid-related eviction, so I'd recommend cautiously.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the supplied review summaries is mixed but leans toward positive in areas that matter most to residents—staff relationships, activities, and community atmosphere—while showing notable and sometimes serious negative reports around cleanliness, food consistency, security, and management follow-through. Multiple reviewers praise the staff as professional, accommodating, kind, and caring; some explicitly state quality of care is good and would recommend the community. The facility is commonly described as warm, cozy, homey, and smaller in scale, producing a family-like, close-knit resident culture. Several comments also highlight attractive aspects such as a classy appearance and pleasant scenery.

Care quality and staff: The dominant positive theme is appreciation for staff and the care they provide. Several summaries use words like professional, accommodating, kind, and note that staff are good to work with — this indicates many reviewers experience compassionate, competent interactions. There are also mentions of standout employees who make a particularly favorable impression. However, these positive impressions are counterbalanced by reports of rude or inattentive staff and instances where tasks are not completed or standards are not met. That contrast suggests unevenness in staff performance or variability between shifts or specific employees. The presence of both strong endorsements and sharp criticisms implies that experience may depend considerably on which staff members one interacts with and how effectively management supports consistent performance.

Facilities and cleanliness: Comments about cleanliness are sharply divided. Some reviewers describe the community as very clean or pretty clean, while others report a filthy carpet and a dirty facility. The discrepancy is significant because cleanliness affects both perceived quality and safety. In one instance reviewers allege nonexistent security and cite a severe incident labeled as an eviction related to COVID, which raises concerns about policies, resident protections, and how incidents are handled. Taken together, these reports point to inconsistency in housekeeping and facility upkeep and highlight a need for clearer, more enforced standards in maintenance and safety protocols.

Dining and activities: Dining and programming receive generally positive feedback but with exceptions. Multiple reviewers praise the meals (described as nice, good, great) and at least one review specifically contrasts “awful food,” indicating inconsistency in dining quality. The activity program is frequently noted as engaging and a strong point of the community, and reviewers report there are good activities available, which supports a positive social environment for residents. Overall, activities appear to be a consistent strength; dining quality appears to fluctuate.

Management and notable concerns: The most serious and actionable negative items are accounts of eviction related to COVID and reports of nonexistent security. These are not minor complaints and, if accurate, suggest lapses in policies, communication, or administrative decision-making that potential residents and families should investigate further. Other management-level issues are reflected in comments about things not getting done and standards not being maintained; combined with the mixed staff reports, this suggests possible weaknesses in oversight, staffing stability, or training.

Patterns and takeaways: The reviews paint a picture of a smaller, attractive community with many relational strengths—friendly sales staff, warm atmosphere, engaging activities, and several caring employees who stand out. Yet there is clear variability across experiences, with some reviewers reporting poor cleanliness, rude staff, inconsistent food, and serious policy/ security concerns. Prospective residents or relatives should consider scheduling a tour that asks specific questions about cleaning schedules, staffing ratios, staff training, incident policies (including COVID-era handling), and security measures. They should also seek recent references from current residents or families to gauge whether reported negative issues were isolated incidents or part of an ongoing pattern.
