    Compassionate attentive staff, beautiful facility

I placed my dad here and I have no regrets - the staff (Stephanie, Ashley, Bri and leadership) were kind, responsive and professional, providing excellent medical and post-surgery care, daily therapy, and compassionate support through his peaceful, dignified passing. The facility is clean and beautiful with large, private rooms you can personalize, a central garden with birds and butterflies, and a dining hall for family gatherings; meals were good though activities are limited (weekly bingo). I highly recommend this caring, attentive community.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing compassionate, attentive care and a beautiful, well-maintained facility. The most consistent praise is aimed at the staff: caregivers are repeatedly described as kind, patient, friendly, responsive, and professional. Several reviews single out individual employees (for example, a nurse and other staff members) and the owner and his wife are noted as warm-hearted, suggesting hands-on and personable management. Reviewers report that staff treated residents with love, respect, dignity, and sympathy — including during end-of-life situations — and many express no regrets about choosing this care option.

Facility and living space receive high marks. The property is described as beautiful with attractive grounds, a central garden, and a peaceful atmosphere that allows residents to enjoy fresh air, butterflies, and birds. Rooms are noted as large, private, comfortable, and customizable with personal items from home, which contributes to a sense of personalization and dignity. The community is described as clean and well maintained, and the presence of a dining hall that accommodates family gatherings is highlighted as a positive feature for visiting relatives.

Clinical and rehabilitative care aspects are also viewed favorably. Reviewers report good medical care, daily physical therapy, and successful post-surgery recoveries, indicating competent clinical support for residents with medical and rehab needs. The consistent mention of responsiveness and professionalism further supports a perception of reliable medical oversight and attentive caregiving.

On the social and activity side, the facility offers some programming — weekly bingo is mentioned specifically — but reviewers repeatedly note limited daily activities. This appears to be the most consistent area of concern: while the environment and one-on-one care are praised, opportunities for varied daily engagement could be expanded. Dining receives mixed feedback: many reviewers mention good meals, but at least one comment characterizes the meals as "rough," indicating some inconsistency in dining quality or individual experiences.

In summary, the reviews paint The Villa Crest: Horizons Personal Care Home as a compassionate, well-run community with strong strengths in personalized, respectful care, attractive grounds, comfortable private rooms, and effective clinical/rehabilitative support. The staff and management receive high trust and appreciation. The primary areas for improvement are expanding daily activity options and addressing inconsistencies in meal quality to ensure all residents experience the same high standard noted in most other aspects.
