    Beautiful community but staff unprofessional

I live here - it's a small, beautiful, centrally located community with a non-hospital feel, very nice facilities, lots of activities and a nearby pool, and the front desk is helpful. My main complaint is limited staff interaction; several employees have been unprofessional and, at times, outright disgusting.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is mixed, with strong, consistent praise for the physical environment, location, and activity offerings, counterbalanced by sharp criticism of staff behavior and inconsistent staff engagement. Multiple reviewers emphasize that Weinberg Terrace has a small, non-hospital-like scale and an attractive, well-kept appearance; these aspects contribute to a positive first impression and a sense of a pleasant, residential community. The urban, central-city location and proximity to a community center with swimming are repeatedly noted as conveniences that broaden resident options and connect the community to neighborhood amenities.

Facilities and activities are among the clearest strengths. Reviewers describe the community as beautiful, visually appealing, and very nice; there is repeated mention of a robust activities program and many things for residents to do. The adjacency to an external community center and swimming pool is highlighted as a concrete benefit that enhances recreational opportunities beyond what is provided on-site. The small size and non-institutional feel are also recurring positives: reviewers say it does not feel like a hospital, implying a more homelike environment that many prospective residents and families prefer.

Staff and care-related comments are the most conflicted and the primary source of concern. Some reviewers call staff compassionate and single out the front desk as being good/helpful, indicating that there are caring employees and at least some reliable, welcoming points of contact. However, other reviewers use very negative language — “lousy staff,” “disgusting employees,” and “unprofessional” — to describe their experiences. There is also a specific complaint about limited staff interaction, which suggests that, even when individual staff members are competent or kind, overall engagement levels with residents may be insufficient at times. Taken together, these comments point to inconsistency in staff behavior or performance: some employees and roles (e.g., front desk) are praised, while others provoke strong dissatisfaction.

Care quality cannot be conclusively judged from the available comments because the reviews provide contradictory impressions. The presence of positive descriptors like “compassionate staff” suggests that residents have experienced good care from some caregivers, but the equally strong negative language about other employees raises a red flag about variability in service and professionalism. Families and prospects reading these reviews should note that experiences may differ substantially depending on staff shift, department, or individual employees.

There is little to no information in the reviews about dining, specific medical services, or management practices; those areas are effectively unreported and remain unknown based on these summaries. Management-level or administrative comments are not explicitly mentioned, although the pattern of mixed staff experiences could imply issues with hiring, training, oversight, or staffing levels — but that is an inference beyond the explicit review content.

Notable patterns: (1) consistent praise for physical environment, location, and activity options; (2) polarized staff feedback ranging from “compassionate” to “disgusting/unprofessional,” and (3) a specific complaint about limited staff interaction. The dominant takeaway is that Weinberg Terrace presents very well physically and offers strong activity and location advantages, but prospective residents and families should investigate staffing consistency, staff-to-resident interaction, and specific care-related experiences during a visit or through direct questions to management to reconcile the mixed staff reports.
