    Filthy, unsafe facility; staff intoxicated

I had a terrible experience here. Staff were rude, intrusive (they entered my room after I asked them not to), and I witnessed some staff - even the owner - intoxicated or using drugs; the facility smelled, was filthy, and I found evidence of bed bugs. There was no security, residents with dementia pounded doors and harassed us, and my laptop went missing. Rooms have no closets, deluxe is an extra $400/month, and I wouldn't recommend sending your loved one here.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the provided reviews is overwhelmingly negative, with multiple reviewers alleging serious problems related to safety, hygiene, staffing, and management. The majority of comments describe a facility in disrepair and a pattern of incidents that raise concerns about resident welfare and oversight. Specific allegations include theft of personal property, bed bug infestations, visible uncleanliness and unpleasant odors, and at least one report of a resident appearing emaciated. These issues point to potential problems with day-to-day care, environmental maintenance, and infection or pest control.

Care quality and resident safety are the most frequently raised concerns. Reviewers report missing items (for example, a laptop), claims of stolen belongings, and at least one instance described as a resident being emaciated, which reviewers interpret as possible neglect. There are also accounts of resident-on-resident harassment, particularly involving residents with dementia, and reports of loud, aggressive behavior such as door pounding. Several reviewers explicitly advise others not to send family members to this facility, indicating a high level of distrust among multiple commenters.

Staff behavior and management issues appear repeatedly and are alarming in nature. Reviews allege that staff enter resident rooms despite requests not to, indicating breaches of privacy and boundary problems. Multiple comments accuse staff of drug use and drinking on the job, and one review specifically alleges that the owner is involved in substance abuse. Reviewers also describe negative, uncaring attitudes among staff and instances of staff eating leftover food from the kitchen, raising both food-safety and professionalism concerns. The combination of alleged substance problems, unprofessional conduct, and poor attitudes suggests systemic staffing and management deficiencies rather than isolated incidents.

Facility condition, cleanliness, and amenities are additional problem areas. Descriptions such as dismal, deplorable, and smelly point to long-standing maintenance and housekeeping shortfalls. Bed bug reports are particularly serious because they indicate both a resident comfort issue and a failure of pest control protocols. Practical shortcomings are also noted: rooms reportedly lack closets and storage, and there is an extra charge for deluxe rooms (cited as $400 per month), which may exacerbate dissatisfaction if the basic accommodations are substandard. These physical-plant and amenity complaints contribute to an overall impression of neglect in facility upkeep.

Dining and food-safety concerns are explicitly mentioned with reports that kitchen staff eat leftovers, which raises hygiene and safety red flags. Combined with the broader cleanliness and staff-behavior complaints, these observations undermine confidence in routine care activities such as meal preparation and sanitation.

Notably, there is a single positive outlier: one reviewer calls it a great place to live and states an intention to stay for two years. There is also a mention that pricing can be negotiable. However, these positive notes are starkly contrasted by the numerous and severe negative reports. The pattern across reviews suggests inconsistent quality—while at least one resident is satisfied, multiple other reviewers describe severe problems that affect safety and basic standards of care.

In sum, the reviews depict a facility with serious and repeated allegations about theft, neglect, substance abuse among staff, poor cleanliness, pest problems, and management failures. These recurring themes—especially those touching resident safety and staff conduct—are significant and would warrant independent verification before considering placement. Potential residents and families should seek thorough, up-to-date inspections, speak directly with current residents and their families, review inspection and complaint histories from regulatory agencies, and tour the premises at different times of day to verify whether the issues reported persist.
