Ransdorf Manor serves as a senior living community with many options for care, where the focus stays on helping older adults live comfortably and safely, where folks who prefer independent living can find a place and those needing more help can get assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing services, and where the staff stay available around the clock to help with emergencies or daily needs like moving from a bed to a wheelchair or managing diabetes and insulin levels, and you see features like mounted televisions with remotes in the rooms, indoor common areas for social time, a beauty salon for haircuts and grooming, and pets-yes, both cats and dogs-so there's a warm, homelike atmosphere that keeps company good. Ransdorf Manor holds activity programs led by full-time directors, plans trips and field outings, and organizes group events like prize bingo or meals, also making sure meals are cooked and served to take the pressure off meal preparation, and you find activities that support wellness through movement and help residents socialize, while spiritual needs get met through off-site devotional services. The place offers diabetic care, ambulatory and non-ambulatory care, and individualized services that adjust to each person so folks get what they personally require, with the staff including health professionals who provide steady, quality care. Ransdorf Manor holds a public housing connection in Clinton County, helping seniors find affordable housing and even offers an online platform for applications, plus it helps run events with the Central PA Food Bank, like Fresh Express food programs and food distribution days, making the place a community hub that looks after both residents and local families in need. The community's doors stay open to seniors seeking the basics-housing, meals, activities, care, and friendly faces.
Lovely view, terrible management fees
I like the river view, quiet, convenient location, friendly neighbors, balcony, community room, utilities included, good snow/lawn care and the office being on the first floor. However, management harassed me, housing issues felt unfair, they ignored a bug infestation, rooms are small, pet costs add up and it's not family-oriented. I was hit with surprise fees - a $44 lockout charge, fees for light bulbs and maintenance labor sometimes billed for work not done - so despite the setting I can't recommend it.
